aye, guess that answers it hehe. so dyes would be on the no side to minimize residue/gunking i guess
I'm not sure, i'm using EK blood red coolant previously & now using Mayhems XT-1 red coolant mixed with distilled water, both didn't leave any residue or coloring the tubing
heard a lot of good word on the Mayhems, but then again there's a possibility there and i'm really not particular on colors at all as the pc's just going to sit on the floor with my eyes on the monitor lol.
I think u are worried too much about custom watercooling setup. For tubing (especially Primochill) there are many colors available for user to match with the their casing theme or whatever reason, if u don't like any color just choose transparent type & run with distilled water alone, many users did that.
yeah pretty much, as there's some pretty damn good air cooling out there where you can just slap it on and leave it for years without a care until the fan dies or something eventually.
but it seems like a lot of fun and i've always wanted to try it someday and figured this is probably a good chance to do so
My advice is if u are really interested then treat it as 'hobby', if u are expecting something like leap jump different with air cooling (those exaggeration size air cooler) then it might disappoint u, except for GPU it really improved the temperature alot. To me i'm more like treating wc as hobby rather than expecting something else especially it make the PC look nicer than aircooling pc.
Therefore u should really think carefully before u venture into it.
Nice. Using the same ones myself. Did you get them locally?
I hope you've got a fan controller or voltage reducers for the fans though. At full speed, they're like jet engines.
Hi pristine, i bring it from oversea, correct me if i'm wrong but i think local don't have this fan right? I have been searching it up & down. I just test it & compared with SP120PE & SGT, the pressure for this fan is stronger than the other two (but of cos SGT is only 1850rpm). Currently connected with the fan hub that came with Phanteks primo & controlled the speed thru motherboard bios.
Yeah, locally not available. AFAIK. haha. When 'Blacknoise' was 'noise blocker', APES used to sell their fans.
Yeah, the fans are pretty unique coz of the blade design. There is an issue though, if you use on pull there's a hum.
Good that your case has a controller.
Yeah i read thru reviews/comments from other users, the fan is not recommended for pull, even Noiseblocker also admitted. Actually i planned to use them for push/pull for my 60mm thick rad. Just tried running as pull (1750rpm) with SP120PE as push, the humming noise much reduced with that speed. Will replaced the SP120 completely coming this weekend & running them push/pull to see how worst is the noise
thats not fan controller, but hub. btw, my SP120 QE seem got some weird noise if running at full speed as push.
What kind of weird noise? If not mistaken SP120 QE only running at 1450rpm full speed, that is not really high if compared with performance edition, i runing my SP120 PE running at around 1500rpm very quiet.
Can't wait to test the fan so took a day off today to replace the fan. Running push/pull & set at 55% (around 1300rpm), so far no hum, quite satisfied with the fan
Last setup used h100i until last month cause my h100i dead Now im going for wc setup, still waiting cause no stock~ Right now using stock heatsink only Haha~
Where & what are you getting? Maybe the members here can advise you alternative places to get the stock.
3/8 5/8 is more common used, other than the points cstkl1 pointed out, what i can think off is aesthetic purposes, big tubing look weird inside the casing
