me also celcom user since YEARS ago. i forgot how many years d lor.haha
anyway i am changing to 3g hp soon so would like to upgrade my sim card.

now i am using a very very old simcard. never upgrded bfore.
i wanna ask., do they charge us for sim card upgrade? last time they called me to collect the new sim card (upgraded one) from the celcom center but i dint go cos not free. it was for free that time..but i wonder isit free now?

and if i wana change to 3g sim card... isit free now or they charge us?

sorry if i ask stupid questions.i am not so sure about all these services and stuff. pls clarify for me , anyone.

if i'm not mistaken.. postpaid is free upgrade to 3g la.. read in the celcom website.. or.. the free preiod is finish already?

checked the website... it say still free for postpaid to upgrade to 3g

As in my earlier post, upgrade fr X-Pax (Prepaid) normal to Celcom 3G is FREE !! I was pleasantly surprised...

Note : Don't trust what yu read in Celcom's website...out of date wan!! Whoever is responsible for updating the info there is NOT doing his job!!

In comparison, Maxis charges prepaid users RM25 for 3G Upgrade!!

now upgrade to 3g simcard is free for POSTPAID only... prepaid my pay some amount.. rm20 i think..

Hi...re above, I posted that cos I just upgraded my Celcom prepaid to Celcom 3G 128k SIM for FREE!! NO charges paid...really!!

Earlier I had to pay RM25 to upgrade my Maxis Hotlink SIM to Hotlink 3G (also 128k) SIM...

when u upgraded? just upgraded ek? if so..that's a great news la..coz..i thought prepaid got to pay to uprgrad.. by the way.. ur xpax sim card, new one or old one?

i wanted to upgrade my sim to 3G card last week but because the name for this sim card(postpaid acct) was under my brother's name, i cant change.

just wana ask anyone who changed their sim to 3G sim... isit necessary to submit the old sim to them when upgrading? or isit possible if my brother just go to the center and upgrade for me(*get the card for me from them*)? and also wil they need to do any configurations on my hp for the 3G function??

i am not too sure how these things works so i hope someone could help me on this

not necessarily to submit the old simcard.. as i still have mine.. but.. u said that the account is under ur bro rite? so, only ur bro can change it.. or ask ur bro to write a letter to say that he wants u to change it for him.. and photostate the ic also.. coz.. only the real owner can change the simcard.. yalar.. security reason.. they dont any problem later on..

as the configuration.. u can find it on the celcom.com.my website.. dont worry.. any prob.. i'm more than happy to help.. hehe

doing survey ahha..asking about their services compare with Maxis and Digi....im fire them.....telling them their price not that attractive enough to compare with Digi ... ahaha....

Upgraded only last month...previous SIM card quite new...NOT the Sumolah one!

Btw can any1 help abt how to view TV prgs using Celcom 3G? I got connected up to point where I can select which TV station.
On selecting eg TV3, msg came out "Need to connect to server." I selected YES. BUT got msg "connection to server failed"!!

Tried with other stations, got same results...
