ddr1000 @ 4-4-4-16! great ram u got there~! but maybe now they're waiting for new mobo biggrin.gif

updated:

was cleaning my rack and found some old fans unused. So i hook a 'turtle' uv coolermaster 80mm fan beside the gfx to provide some airflow at my hot x1900xtx and maybe to my northbridge as well..

then i put a fast speed small AMD athlon barton fan on top of the heatsink at the mosfet (look at top left of my mobo)

and i put a nice blue led gigabyte fan just behind my x1900xtx to cool down the voltage regulator which is idling at 60c ++ ..

dunno whether these fan does help or not but it's better than let them lay around inside my closet laugh.gif biggrin.gif

aha btw, i just broke PI 1m 15secs with my E6600 @ 3.29ghz. short 1fsb to make it 3.3ghz.. wrong calculation laugh.gif

mine now at 367 is also consider good alredi, 420 is definitely superb!

I could go up to 380FSB... but I can't use 3DMark for more than 1 minute sad.gif I would cap my PCI-E at 100MHz, but that's not worth it since the drop in frames per second is so significant. Currently I'm using 140MHz.

Oh and Irene, how did you manage to get your V-Core to only 1.213v? Mine's already at 1.424 at 360X9
*
mine is not 1.213v tongue.gif it's sthing wrong with cpuz, showing that vcore no matter what i set in bios.. in bios i set to 1.45vcore.

btw, 3d application is sthing else, if u wanna find max stable clockspeed for 24/7 then u need to test both stresstest (for eg. dual prime) and 3d benchies (for eg. loops of 3dmark03)

if both has no problem, then i believe u wont have any problem either in gaming or in heavy multitasking biggrin.gif

hmm do u oc in bios from 266 up till 515?

and do u mod ur board?

bcoz i've tried few boards (ds4, dq6, ds3, biostar 965p deluxe, & p5b deluxe) already and with my E6600 most of them are stuck around 460fsb.. sad.gif

u try the p5b deluxe? izit good o not? or those gigabytes r better?
i heard tat new bios for the p5b improve a lot.... wink.gif
*
rite now i have 3 boards lying in my room... ds3, biostar 965p deluxe and asus p5b deluxe.. one of them is mine, the other 2 are not.

ds3 : RM550, a simply good board. i bet everyone here knows bout it.

biostar 965p deluxe : RM500, a very good ocing board, with this board, i manage to hit the highest fsb with my E6600 at 9x multiplier. and clock to clock it is faster than the other 2 boards. has good features such as power & reset button on the board (like dfi lanparty), simple bios..

asus p5b deluxe wifi edition : RM970, almost identical to my previous DQ6. so far it has few issues. 0502 the ram timing become x-7-7-23 for some memory, while 0507 has divider issue for some memory. has stability problem between 360fsb till 400fsb.. but beyond that can easily do stability test. rich of features, perfectly fit its rm1000 price.

based on my experience, if u like oc so much, it's worth to try the biostar. it might be 'biostar', but it is one of the best c2d board i ever have.. and it is the cheapest wink.gif

wow...thx for such sufficient info...the biostar seems quite a nice board..but i dun like the location of the atx power cable... sweat.gif
the p5b deluxe seems like best looking board but its quite pricey... sweat.gif
divider issue? meaning some ram not compatible?
*
yeah the atx power location is the worst thing ever!

the divider issue means with some ram u cant use divider.. u can use 1:1 without any problem wink.gif

wah siauannn...now u here to...

back to the topic....
any idea when it ABIT or lanparty c2d come out?...any expected price?....just asking..
*
i believe lanparty c2d will price around SLI DR/expert/venus/cfx3200 price which is around rm900.

QUOTE(gengstapo @ Aug 27 2006, 11:04 PM)
sure la.. intel processor always hot  laugh.gif  than amd

Q : why whenever i put the vcore values to NORMAL it showing 1.42V in CPU-Z??  sweat.gif
*
r u using bios f4? with that bios, the normal vcore is 1.425v, not 1.325v.. so if u wanna use stock vcore (1.325) u need to set it manually in bios.

i'm using F4 bios also... but not having tat problem ler... i set everything to default (vcore - normal) my vcore varies between 1.1~1.328max but not reaching 1.4 ler...
*
well thats good then.. bcoz last time i managed to hit 3.2ghz with E6400 & ds3 with f4 bios with everything at auto/normal but everyone at xs were saying that f4 bios set the vcore automatically to 1.425v wink.gif

Noob question. Most of u guys using P965 chipset
How about 975x? Not good in OC?

How much will the P5B-Deluxe cost?
*
it's because 975x mobo is too hard to get.. except for MSI powerup edition which is cost around rm8xx.

basically most of 975x board is better for conroe in OC, but i believe 965 bios is become mature n mature and people begin to hit higher fsb than 975 board..

i bought p5b deluxe wi fi edition @ rm990 wink.gif

ds3 is good, but people prefer 975 board if they r using conroe (4mb c2d)

bcoz most earlier 965 board has problem reaching higher fsb with that processors.

in terms of daily use, or normal ocing, 965 does the job well enuff smile.gif
