i bought it quite cheap, dint expect durability or quality at all, expecting typical china made quality.

to my suprise, its durable, solid, and beyond expectation for that budget.

how much staedler / FC usually cost for a 2mm ?
*
2mm leadholder either from staedler or Faber cost quite a lot more that mech pencil for smaller leads.... Think I've seen one asking for a little over RM20 or perhaps RM19

I suppose there are not that many fans of mechanical pencils in this country. Market is a small one. Have not seen them good ones of old being sold anymore

This is otherwise just a regular marker pen, but it has one interesting function. Have you ever thought before that it’s a little bit hard to make a straight line with a marker because the sentence would get covered? (If you are right hand user!) With this marker, you wouldn’t have a problem like that! Since this marker has a little hole just like in a photo, you can see the sentences that you want to mark! You should try it out!

This is pretty interesting.

My search stop ere....

Purr fect weight and balance it almost writes on its own!

Pentel Libretto.  I believe it is marketed in this part of the world as Pentel Sterling.
There really is not that much info on this one even on the net.  More focus is given on its rollerball equivalent.  It came with decent enuff Hi-polymer pentel lead but load this with Eno 4B it really become something.

Purchased from Winsin Stationery, Jln Ipoh. Am not sure they still have tho. Most of them better ones are old stock, am not sure whethere there will be restocked. But Winsin has another outlet in the city centre which also carries some Cross stuff.

I have also noticed Pentel sterling being sold at Popular.

By the way just found a nice old sturdy staedtler today too when I went looking for old sheaffer inks.
And an a double clutch Faber Castell Grip Max 1371 which is a copy of Staedler Integrity

And for those who are looking for something simple and reliable Stabilo 3135N/3137N is recommended. Retractable sleeve that does not wobble too much and those translucent barrel is nice. MPH for a little over RM7. Not sturdy as Pentel Graph 600 but its not that far behind.

I saw Popular at Leisure mall got a couple on display at 20++. Color coated, not chrome if I remember right which is more grippy than the brushed chrome model.
Not cheap for a mech pencil I suppose so one better try it afore buying. Softer lead like eno-G 4B makes it write really well.
The same Popular also have some Pentel Graph 600 and Graphgear 500.

A few of my favourites. Where its convenient I would remove them clips. Mech pencils feels better without. Lamy Agenda is recent aquisition, solid build for something so tiny. Not sure it present decent value even after heavy discount that I got for it. Faber's Grip Max 1371 and the blue fat Staedtler 0.5 mm is my best doodlers while the fat green sheaffer 0.7mm is my rough and tumble dry pencil that I use with my waterproof paper.

Pentel Graph 600, Graphgear 500, Pilot H-32x (orange) and the Lamy Agenda (black) can still be found in local market. Am not sure about the others.

The graphgear 500 is my personal fav. Not too expensive, solid feel; very good pencil at its price point.

waterproof paper? How is it waterproof and what is it like?

I have a pretty nice looking diary but I prefer scribbling on those cheap ring-bounded hardcover notebooks. I don't feel as guilty writing drivel, lol.

Graph 600 feels better in the hand than Graphgear 500. There is a slight give between the plastic upper barrel and the lower part due to the way it is constructed. Got meself that graphgear because I could not find a Graph 600 in 0.3mm.

waterproof paper.. pretty neat. Works great with pencil. Used to be pretty useful for certain things where one has to work in harsh environ. If they get wet you just hang it to dry and all that you have written are still there and you can still use it, even writes when its wet.
They are even used underwater... again with pencils.

Similar yet not quite the same. Zebra M-502 tip not retractable hence it lays graphite on paper better than Pentel Sterling/Libretto. M-502 is slimmer though and the clutch is made of plastic. Both pencils' lead uncushioned.

Received an offer I could not refuse for this one. I can never afford this Faber Castell E Motion Croco at RRP. This doesnt sell in big number in this country I suppose being one that comes with 1.4mm lead and in B hardness only. I managed to get some Stabilo lead in HB .... Shorty and weighty and its German. I time I know I will not think much of the price paid for this one. I suppose this will never get to be my daily writer but I am pretty sure that it will around me most of the time. Quite fun to doodle with and and its a pleasure to hold. The smooth twist action is a bonus!
Wish someone make 1.4mm lead in 2B... but then one cannot have it all... at least not yet.

Woody one is not too bad either!!!

Yeah them Germans. Excellent engineering. Am not sure 1.4mm will cut it for most people though. I have tried Lamy CP1, don't quite like the feel of it. I do wonder about the Lamy 2K mech pencil tho but knowing the price.... I suppose not. Ha ha.....

E Motion is not GFFC branded tho, its just a regular Faber Castell and e Motion has been around a while.... 16-17 years think.

Another nice one from Faber stable. A little too shiny I suppose but do like the heft of plenty of brass used. On the heavy side it is.
