Fuuh, JS Sloane rocks man. By far my fav water based one. Grease can be washed out with just shampoo using my method. Just use the grease as an overcoat. Using grease alone makes it a pain in the arse to wash. I'd only do it if there's any events or stuff since I can recomb anytime. But anyway just using JS Sloane alone should be enough to hold a pomp for the whole day.

sad.gif. I just washed my hair and I can feel the grease on my hair still. I mixed both as suggested by most of you all. I bought two cans of grease pomades cause that guy was saying how I need grease pomades if I want it to last all day.

But now I regretted. I think I wanna sell off the grease pomades cause Grease ain't what I like. Any takers? RM 60 cause one can is new and the other can I just take a bit to use only. I just bought them on Thursday.

What? Ur selling 2 cans for RM60?

Did you use conditioner bro? There's a method to was grease out easily man. First before you shower apply generous amount of conditioner without water directly onto your hair. Let it sit for 15 min then wash it out with water, then proceed to wash with shampoo. If still got some grease left just conditioner once more then should all be gone. thumbup.gif

Some people will use olive oil also and some will use dish washing soap shocking.gif

Omg. Whaaat. No wonder, I applied conditioner to wet hair -.- Nahh, not RM 60 for 2 cans. RM 60 for the new can, and I don't know RM 60 for the other can that I used once? I just wanna get rid of the product. If someone can offer me a price that was similar to the one when I bought my pomades, I'm okay with it. I think my scalp is super sensitive to the grease cause it's trying to adapt, making some areas of my scalp itchy -.-

Right now, I'm trying to experiment with bigger pomps. I want my pomps to be bigger and slightly a bit distributed, not too neat cause it made my hair look so awkward.

You want the grease pomades? I seriously wanna give it away. Should have bought 4 cans of water pomades instead.

Haha nahh not looking to buy more atm.. Try opening a thread to sell it. Should be able to.

Oh if its causing your scalp to be itchy then better not use la. Not worth all the hassle imo. Thing is, I think it may be pretty difficult to achieve a huge pomp, especially since JS Sloane doesn't have that really STRONG hold. Also our hot weather here affects the pomades too. When I was in Japan during winter, JS Sloane held up perfectly the whole day. Even when the wind blow also my pomp didn't drop. Here when I go under the sun I feel that the hold is not too strong, especially if I sweat.

Noooo, I want bigger pomps sad.gif... But I hate using Grease man. I just tried using water based with a bit of wax, it didn't help. I was disappointed.

Ahh..Its difficult but it can be done. Just takes some time to practice it. Try using a little more pomade.

Never heard of mixing wax with pomades hmm.gif

Are you applying pomade to damp or dry hair? If you really really want such a huge pomp maybe you can try applying it to dry hair. It holds better but might feel a little bit harder to apply. Also you can finish it off with a hair spray once you get the desired pomp height.

Hmm.. let me explain how I recently achieved my pomps. When I fiddled around with ways to have a pomp, this is what I normally do..

After shower..

-Spray quite an amount of hairspray to roots to gain volume.
-Apply wax/pomade and style.
-Use comb to readjust hair to look neat.
-Pomp achieved.
-Spray more hairspray to increase hold

Maybe my hair is getting longer so it's harder to style, or maybe because its the fact that I applied some spray conditioner to my hair last night that it didn't quite work out.

The thing about using wax or pomps to style my hair is that when using wax to style my hair, the pomp is a more evenly distributed pomp to give it that very casual look, just think of a pomp that isn't too neatly combed, but the shape is still there.

For pomades however, it gets too neat for me to the point where I need to use my hands to kind mess it up a bit. Hard to explain, but I can show you some pictures to let you know what I mean.

Sadly with wax, my pomp falls after 5 minutes of standing, probably because the wax isn't strong enough to hold. But with pomade, I tried mixing water and grease yesterday, the results was very nice. It held very well for hours at the expense of an itchy scalp and very greasy that I don't like.

Hmm.. So ur saying you don't like it too neat? Usually pomp style people want it very neat. hmm.gif

When you apply pomade you should always use the comb to distribute the product evenly to your hair. Think of it like slicking back your hair.

Too much hair product lol. All could be achived with 1 suitable grease pomade. All the time ure setting ur hair can go to washing ur hair. Well, not really since most greasers dont wash their hair and sleep with the grease still on their hair and the only time they wash it is when it needed to be wash.
Same goes here for me. The build up is what makes the hold even better.

This is the kind of pomp I'm looking for but the pomades made it too neat to be that form. I'm thinking of going back to wax. What do you think? Also, have you heard about Hanz De Fuko wax products?

Is that the right term to use? Natural or Matte? I don't know what matte means. But yes, I don't want it to be too greasy and neat. By the way, could you use the reply button when you reply to me, cause I wouldn't know there's a reply on the thread unless I check on it. LOL. I thought no one replied.

Argh, so frustrated sad.gif. I mailed HdF asking which of the product is suitable for hairs in humid country, no reply :'(. After spending few hundreds on pomade, now I have to sell if off again~ Sorry bro, your advice was great, but pomade just isn't giving me the kind of look I want, lol.
