After days of testing skills and gears. I finally found a way to counter RD, frozen pulse, lightning, electric and firechain @ T6.
It was hurt shiat for my monk initially, even in solo game, especially the electric. Now I'm good to run ignoring most of the elemental damage with 1K AR and 17K Armor (buffed). Found my below par Flying Dragon daibo. But it still delivers decent damage (100-140m against elites). Yeap, it's fun to play monk again. Blizz has fixed monk's defence and offencee. QUOTE(ALeUNe @ Sep 12 2014, 03:12 PM) For my build, I tried all mantra and passive/active skills with reduce damage. bro you can try mantra of healing (need of time)can solve your both problem.Electric and fire chain were still hurt shiat @ T6 solo. Cyclone strike/soothing breeze solves my problem. Spamming cyclone strike combo with strongarm bracers. |

QUOTE(present me @ Sep 12 2014, 02:24 PM) Healing is higher with Mantra of healing. I found it not as good because I lose AR and armor if I use mantra of healing. I keep my AR and armor (with Mantra of Salvation/Hard Target) and generate life through cyclone strike/soothing breeze. It works better for me. P/S My skill setup http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/monk...bXWU!Zbbcba I use deadly reach to have range attack. Some monster like Mallet is damn hurt if I use other primary skills (FoT/CW/WotHF). And mantra of salvation, either hard target or perseverance is good. Can drop mystic ally for Epiphany (will swap Crudest Boots for Iceclimbers if I use Epiphany). This post has been edited by ALeUNe: Sep 12 2014, 02:49 PM |

But then the high fire% you had on gears is not optimized as there's no firespender in your skills beside deathly reach which had low damage compare to spirit spender.. |

I do not want to use fire cyclone strike because I want to spend higher spirit to spawn a decoy. If you use crudest boot, you'll be spamming Mystic ally instead. But then the high fire% you had on gears is not optimized as there's no firespender in your skills beside deathly reach which had low damage compare to spirit spender.. Cyclone strike/soothing breeze allows me to put in electric or fire chain elites without being killed in 1-2 seconds. For monster like Mallet, I spam sweeping wind. I used to use fire bell, which has higher damage on paper. But it is not as effective as fire sweeping wind. Bell's killing time is almost the same sweeping wind. Sweeping wind can deliver consistent damage. And the main damage comes from the decoy (100-140m against elites). With fire bell, i need to spam cyclone strike + bell, which is not very good. With limited spirit, it is better to spam cyclone strike, which you get life in return. This post has been edited by ALeUNe: Sep 12 2014, 03:22 PM |

QUOTE(yuhhaur @ Sep 12 2014, 03:26 PM) With +74% fire damage, the fire sweeping wind (315%) and deadly reach (260%+100% with Depth diggers) give decent damage. (p.s. +28% damage from strongarm bracers, combo with cyclone strike) Yes, for sure I'm looking for gear upgrade. This post has been edited by ALeUNe: Sep 12 2014, 03:46 PM |

In fact, you need quick finger in this build, so, i will not use clunky to describe it.About the attack speed, you may think it's slow because it's 2H, but with Alacrity (15% IAS), STI (30% IAS), Gogok (15% IAS) and proc from The Flying Dragon, I can get 3.8 attack speed. It's feel a lot faster than before 2.1 even when I was dual wield. Just compare the video when I DW back then. I can't tell you if this build is your type of style, my point is, this 2H build does not feel slow. In fact, as someone who love fast attack speed, and has been a DW user for a long time, I find this build quite fun to play with. |

I just noticed (I'm slow) but not 100% confirm..
that SWK Decoy will not reflect damage on Reflect affixes. |
