toughness is better in 2.1. even better than OWE now. i m not kidding. Harmony buffed to 40%, and there is 6th sense that reduced damage for non-elemental by 25% and finally Mantra of Salvation (add 20% all resistance as base mantra).

DPS still a problem though...

Finally upgraded my Gogok to level 25! T6 is very fun to play now! Max attack speed with Flying Dragon proc can goes to 3.8! Imagine using a 2H weapon at that speed? And pair with my level 25 Mirinae... I just punch everything to death! Very fast, very fun to play.



Also, clear Grift 31.

ps: Still cannot compare to other class which almost reach Grift 40 (yeah, i m looking at u DH!)

Remember when RoS first launched? Monk were very fun to play. I was having a blast until I reach T6. Everyone else start camping in T6 and monk left behind.

It's only a few days after 2.1. Monk still fun but it look like when everyone else start camping in Grift 35 or even 40, we will see that Bliz hasn't really fixing monk's DPS. Our skill damage are mostly untouched, the only thing they "fix" is increasing Sunwuko proc from 1600%->3500%. This proc is not tied with skill damage, it's fixed.

Currently running with Sunwuko + Inna + Aughild's set + Crudest boot + Flying Dragon.

Not much has change in the dual-wield. But 2H weapon is the key in 2.1. This is mainly due to the buff to Sunwuko set. The set will proc a decoy that explode at 3500% weapon damage. At 3500% weapon damage, it is larger than any monk skill - combined.

So, the idea is to get this to proc as much as possible. Since it will only proc every time you spend 75 spirit, the idea is to generate as much spirit as possible and spam them.

There are a few Sunwuko build:

1. Genwuko - Among the most popular
2. Bellwuko - Spam bell for damage as well as proc decoy.
3. Hexwuko - Hex pant and TR and spam mantra to proc

I tested all 3 builds. Easiest T6 farming should be Hexwuko. You need to build up passive spirit regen as well as Guardian Path. Hexing pant will provide enough passive spirit regen while you just keep TR and occasionally Epiphany. Spam Mantra from time to time to proc decoy. Since TR pass thru everything, you don't really need to stop or DS or Serenity. Problem with this build, it's getting hard as you move into higher Grift which require more spirit that just passive spirit. It's still fun in T6.

Then I tested Bellwuko, you need FoT - Quicken for fast spirit regen. Once it's full, spam it. Most E die within seconds in T6 as you spam bell and proc at the same time.

My current build is Genwuko. It's better in term of damage output since you just focus in generating spirit using FoT / WoTHF while keep spamming Mantra and Sweeping Wind. For this build, you must not use Inna set since it will reduced Sweeping Wind from 75 to 15. Just keep punching thing to generate spirit and with the spirit spam mantra and win! Most high end build are based on Genwuko. The Flying Dragon is best choice in this case since there is chance that it will double your speed. More speed, more spirit. Legendary gem to aim for is Gogok and Mirinae.

Here is our fun run

You will be surprise, the best passive for SWK is Seize the Initiative. It basically gain you 30% all the time since most mobs die in seconds. My second choice is Exalted Soul. Third passive is Alacrity. Dont ever use Chant of Reasonance, limit you proc. SWK has no rhythm, even in Bell-wuko, I don't recommend wait for 3 hit to spam a bell. You want to spam bell continuously while you have the 30% STI.

For Genwuko, Sweeping wind, Epiphany, Mystic Ally (give u 200 spirit from time to time), MOS / MOH (bubble is good protection), WtHF - FoF (good proc with Mirinae), Dashing Strike.

Sunwoko (Holy) build > Lightning

Holy is very important. The 3500% scale with holy damage.

Problem with Chant reduced mantra by 50% mean every time u activate mantra only cause 25 spirit. You need to activate 3 times before a decoy proc. There is internal cooldown that limit you to activate only 2 mantra per second.

there is no Chest Armor with Holy+ damage...

Interesting, let us know how it will turn out. Things that can still kill you:

- Lightning / Bolt - This is crazy strong now, I suspect it's bugged.
- Firechain
- Mallet Lord

Or at Grift 35 and above, white mobs.

Basically just Druin show off his math skill; TL;DR: Taeguk > Mirinae

Pretty decent gear, but still has room for improvement. I recommend:

- You want to Gogok to level 25. Faster speed help proc The Flying Dragon.
- Get the Crudest Boot for 2 Mystic Ally. Not only for double passive regen, you get 200 spirit when you spawn them.
- The Witching Hour
- Holy SOJ - Holy damage scale with decoy proc and can be very powerful
- Holy Amulet - preferably Hellfire amulet with useful passive

That should get you to around grift 30-33. To move further, you need cool down reduction. Get a diamond in helm's socket. Reroll shoulder and gloves into 8% CRD. Replace The Guardian's Path with Beacon of Ytar. Good luck!

Managed to barely completed Grift 35. Make many silly mistake like getting 1-shot by The Butcher...

LOL! thats true. my point was actually, i need 6th sense, harmony and keep spamming Mantra of Healing. when facing Elite, pop Epiphany - Desert Shroud. That is a lot of defense...
