3rd party are pretty damn awesome so might go for them in the future.

Collecting high detailed transformers and diecast cars models is a pretty terrible combination.

no idea.. i'm trying not to think about the end price.. i'm only picking up my first ever 3rd party combiner, warbotron's not-bruticus.. while he does look fantastic, they're 260 per limb and i estimate the body is going to be around 400
just think of them as separate purchases over a few months that combine into an amazing looking figure and you'll be fine just remember not to total them up

i have to say i'm pretty darned impressed with the individual figures too.. not-Brawl may be a bit lacking but i think he's still damn good looking and amazing display-wise
what made me go for warbotron's bruticus is the fact that the figures themselves are bigger compared to say, maketoy's or TFC's and the price is pretty much the same

that and bruticus has always been one of my favourites.. having a re-imagined figure of him is right up my alley

and yes, if you ever have buyer's remorse, you'll likely just be losing out less than 5-10% even when you resell BIB since people still buy them, so there's hardly any reason not to get one if you really feel that you like it

in some ways, third party can be considered KOs too.

my personal opinion is that discussion on KO should be allowed as long as it's informative (e.g. how to differentiate) and not commercial in nature.

by providing information how to differentiate and review would be fine IMHO. if wanna provide where to buy and stuffs, which involve business nature... that probably can PM that particular person instead post public since it doesn't favor all parties.

Lol yes. I was aiming for a bit of sarcasm on the KOcepticon part. I found it weird that people can get so bent out of shape over other people wanting to save some money to get a Prime for use with add-ons, but yet gushing over 3rd party Not-Transformers. Because yes, they are KO also. THey did not steal molds but they still "take" the intellectual property. For me, if want to have such a high horse then should condemn all.
