& also the joints that connects the blue torso pieces to the diecast metal frame.
Thanks, so the transformed version is easier to inspect then compared to the alt mode?
Still, seller claim that he only took out and display. Never transformed once as he has one that comes in plane mode and one in Alt mode. Would it be safe to assume that Takara QC is decent for Masterpiece?
Sorry for so many questions, this is the first time I am buying a Masterpiece. If it is Animated, then, i dont really care as they are durable as heck.

The QC is hit and miss, so far one of the worst QC snafus i've heard on their part for the MP line is MP-09b .. and MP-09 1st version where the joints on the leg snap very easily.
Heard MP-09 is pretty bad but how about the rest? Are they decent?
one is the fort max colors, the other is brave max colors...so which one do you want?
brave max variant has an exclusive box variant ver too
Any actually but the problem is cash.
Feel like cancelling my Starscream for this guy but at the end, i think i stick to it since I have been waiting a good quality Starscream for a long time.
3rd party are pretty damn awesome so might go for them in the future.
Collecting high detailed transformers and diecast cars models is a pretty terrible combination.

Got my first ever 3rd party figure in the mail the other day: Terminus Hexatron.
What an amazing piece of engineering. And very solid plastic + build quality too. Beats 99% of anything Hasbro/Takara has ever made.
The only thing that still bugs me about 3rd party - apart from the borderline criminal copyright infringement - is the tacky packaging and the ridiculous prices.
I saw your Hexatron, thats one amazing piece of engineering to me.
Heard a lot of 3rd parties are doing much better job than Hasbro and Takara but i guess each has its appeal. Fort Maximus by Perfect Effect is pretty damn amazing to me, IMO, especially I have been wanting for a weapons heavy bot.
I think i'll go with MP first before going into 3rd party.
Ya, maybe this reissue will have stickered insignia... The missing Lamborghini and Countach wording might be just not painted yet only on this figure. Weapon should have...???
I dont know about you but I used to buy at least one transformer per movie and always disappointed with it. The quality in general from the movie line are terrible where joints become very loose after 1-2 transformation or the general polishing is terrible where paints are hastily applied on the transformer. Even my 10 years old Beast wars collection is much better build than the recent ones. The transformation are lazily designed that resulted massive backpacks in a lot of transformers while a lot of times, they dont remotely look like what they appear in the movie. This time round, I aint gonna even buy one movie transformer because the price is fairly absurd while the quality is even lower.
I dont mind if they stray from the G1 designs as G1 design isnt perfect. There are some decent transformer design from the movie, like how I like Sideswipe's designs, Blackout and a few of the Constructicons. The problem is, the toys are terrible in terms of engineering, polish and quality. If a third party makes a good quality Blackout-like from the movie, I'll be the first one to buy it.
I used to watch G1 a lot when I was young but I never really have any issues with IDW, Japanese, Beast Wars or even Animated designs. Each different cartoon franchise has different strength and weaknesses in terms of their character design to their toys but I cant really see much point to justify the purchase of the AoE transformers which I rather save the money for an Alternity, Masterpiece or an overpriced well engineered third party. In fact, I never watched Animated before. I find myself liking their toys a lot because it is very well engineered, sturdy and looks good. It is said that Animated is dead now as I want more of it. Animated's Starscream is still my personal favourite modern Starscream, despite his design and colours is completely different from the G1 designs.
Thank god that Masterpiece and third party exist these days.
Actually when I first saw the TF Animated cartoon .. I thought hmm those toys prob don't look nice.. But when I saw the toys... gotta say they are one of my favorite lines.
Thats true, they do look childish at a glance but once you hold one in your hands, you can see that these toys are damn well engineered.
I am still looking for a Animated Megatron, Soundwave and Optimus Prime.
Very tempting to get Skywarp from Famitoy.

Soundwave is a quite easy to find I think couple of stores in AMcorp has it.. ToyWiz in amcrop also has some animated stuff also. I think they have the voyager class animated megatron.
Skywarp if you don't mind loose 1Toy got sell it for rm 70 . (also got starscream rm 70) . Optimus is a bit harder. Leader class megatron one of the toystores in amcorp also have it. Try and ask Loke Moon Thoe on Facebook
Are they Takara or Hasbro version? I think I'll try and find this weekend.
I actually found a few in Famitoy KD for RM90 each and its the Takara version.
Do you know anywhere else that still sell Generations Grimlock? The one from the Cyberton games.
Thanks by the way. You are helping me a lot except my wallet and YNAB will hate me for it.
