QUOTE(quovadis123 @ May 16 2014, 02:49 PM) QUOTE(dadudeneverabides @ May 16 2014, 02:51 PM) LOL! Holy-f. It's that freaking expensive? That being said, is there a clone version of the Dolch keycaps then?Yeah... original Dolch costs more than your brand spanking new keyboard. Just use the ori keycaps until you are bored first, then ony switch. I love the colour scheme, won't mind trading a bit of quality off for a cheaper price. |

QUOTE(168257061 @ May 16 2014, 03:33 PM) UGPM. QUOTE(quovadis123 @ May 16 2014, 03:38 PM) around RM550-600 for a GMK dolch keycaps set. Cannot afford. Haha. Stock keycaps are good enough for me actually. Except I want the colours to look like Dolch's. God tiers. You may look for Taihao Dolch. It's very cheap, has similar color scheme too. |

QUOTE(Sentinel92 @ May 16 2014, 06:00 PM) Lol. It's like saying I'd rather not spend money on a RM500 amp for a RM1.5k headset. The amp is important to the sound. The keycaps here is important to the overall feel of the keyboard. If you're buying just for looks then up to you. Agreed. I'm all for buying original - but in my case the amp would cost more than the headphones. QUOTE(slimfox @ May 16 2014, 07:02 PM) I like the way you think. Ya sometimes have to know when to spend and on what. Like me when I was spending on rm1k+ branded jeans. End of the day my rm200+ jeans last as long as those expansive ones. Also serves the same function. Point noted. Would love a cheaper alternative with decent quality if any exists at all. Besides, I (in my humble opinion) don't think that the difference in quality between the replica keycaps and the original ones justifies the 5-6x times difference in price. On KBD I guess its what you want out of it. For me, I game and don't really type much except on this forum therefor I got a Razer (Hope don't kena tembak for mentioning the "R" word On Sentinal92's point I only have to say that when it comes to sound, don't be kedukut cause what you pay is what you hear (may not look great but the sound can give you orgasms). The only thing I have to say is don't get fakes (not from the brand but labeled as such), get from a company/brand that makes compatible products. Supporting pirates will only stop innovation of newer better products. |

By the way, did anyone else's typing speed drop a little when they first picked up a mech keyboard? I used to be able to type 85-95 wpm. But now I can only type 70-80wpm. I guess mech keyboards need some time to get used to huh?

Guys, what's a good 60% keyboard that has arrow keys and preferably no backlight (and reasonably priced). I'm looking at the Vortex Pure Pro atm, but it seems like this model has LED backlight.

QUOTE(justnits @ May 23 2014, 03:17 PM) QUOTE(quovadis123 @ May 23 2014, 03:19 PM) Thanks for the suggestions guys. Leopold seems decent. Can't find it in Mice & Keyboard Garage Sales though. Still eyeing the Pure Pro as it has 1x1 arrow keys. What's a good place to get them for a fairly low shipping price? Thanks again! This post has been edited by yukihatsu: May 23 2014, 03:57 PM |

QUOTE(Sentinel92 @ May 23 2014, 11:24 PM) Sweet. How can you live without the arrow keys though I wonder? I code websites for a living and the arrow keys are an essential part of my workflow.QUOTE(joonwei23 @ May 23 2014, 11:45 PM) Is the font on the GMK Dolch finalized? Would've considered getting this one if it actually uses the same font as the one from Round 3/4. |

QUOTE(quovadis123 @ May 24 2014, 12:06 AM) 60% do have arrow keys but you need trigger it with FN (default layout) or other keymap method like below post (link provided). Haha, I need the arrow keys to be quick and physically accessible. Fn or mouse wheel will slow it down a whole lot IMO. But sweet tips there, thanks!https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...entry67482868 If you have any idea, please let me know. QUOTE(Sentinel92 @ May 24 2014, 12:11 AM) Haaha I don't code bro. I just type alot at my part time work and personal use. Might get the GMK one if the DSA Dolch is not to my liking. Yeah it's finalized. QUOTE(ntw @ May 24 2014, 06:33 PM) who needs bling bling LED when u have these? Wahhhh, damn swee la. Mine's on its way. Hopefully will get it in 10 days or so. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

QUOTE(ntw @ May 24 2014, 07:01 PM) wow, u damn ONG la, still manage to grab a set even after 2 weeks the sale started. Oh, I emailed Signature Plastics and they told me they're gonna put 30 extra sets on sale last Weds. So yeah, I quickly snatched one while it's still available.anyhow, i'll need to change the color of my case. black not really matching for the dolch color scheme. any suggestion? im thinking either white or silver... I think white or gray looks pretty good with the Dolch set. QUOTE(quovadis123 @ May 24 2014, 07:06 PM) I'm curious to know normally how you use the arrow keys in coding websites? Give some examples, so every coders able to gain benefits from it. Thanks in advanced. QUOTE(zennasyndroxx @ May 24 2014, 07:20 PM) sometimes made mistakes in syntaxes right after typing a few more lines, easier to go back to the line where mistakes are made with the arrow up key compared to using mouse. @quodavis123 Mainly what @zennasyndroxx said. Or multi-line selection while holding Alt + Down arrow in Sublime Text. Basically I need it for navigation. Hehe.at least that my experience in it . |
