That looks disastrous IMO. Ducky's design has always been very distasteful from what I observe especially the spacebar.Anyway, just my humble opinion. Ducky owners don't shoot me down. Haha.

QUOTE(quovadis123 @ Jun 4 2014, 02:35 PM) I see. Snake logo spacebar. Ahhh, okay. Seems like it's only the snake year Ducky that gets on my nerves. The rest are pretty okay... Like how a mechanical keyboard should look. Snake year ducky. Although not limited edition, they still give snake logo spacebar. I think still better design than old ducky shine spacebar. There are really nice limited edition Ducky. See images below. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

QUOTE(dadudeneverabides @ Jun 4 2014, 06:52 PM) Some people like it, some people don't. Haha, definitely. Just expressing my 2 cents. Taste is a *very* subjective matter after all. What looks good to me might not look good to you. As long as you happily make an informed decision, then I don't care. Still get ridiculed by me though, so YMMV. QUOTE(darkskies @ Jun 4 2014, 09:27 PM) i'm glad that i bought ducky shine 3 instead of waiting for shine 4. Oh my god. Your comment is spot on. That looks like a gas stove to me. I guess i'll be looking at ducky legend on next one. |

QUOTE(darkskies @ Jun 5 2014, 09:11 AM) The other guy on tw ducky facebook left a more interesting comment lol. Hahaha. How did I even miss that?Game and porn volume. Actually i kinda like ducky shine 3. However.. i dont like plastic casing. Been searching through various spots for custom metalic enclosures. From diecast mold / liquid metal /aluminium /steel. Looking for an anodized aluminium surface to be spray with matte black so i can replace the casing of shine3. This would applies to top and bottom casing as well. But the chances kinda slim. These are usually quote against moq. Single piece would be too expensive. Anyways.. it's my first mechanical kb. Would say.. rubber dome will be out of my choice from now on. Ducky Shine 3 is actually okay la. It's just the spacebar that I don't find very aesthetically pleasing. Plastic casing is fine for me as I carry the keyboard around a lot. Don't want any extra weight in my bag if possible. |

QUOTE(quovadis123 @ Jun 5 2014, 05:33 PM) Poker 2 with TEX 60% Silver casing. His one looks more plastic-y though. Nevertheless the TEX case looks great. Maybe. http://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index....ct_detail&p=631 No comments. |

QUOTE(168257061 @ Jun 8 2014, 01:29 AM) Seems like all the custom cases are made of aluminium. Got plastic one ah? But with similar design to the aluminium one. Alu will add quite a lot to the weight le.QUOTE(diaBoliQu3 @ Jun 8 2014, 01:00 PM) Lol! |

QUOTE(hmwgbworld @ Jun 8 2014, 08:23 PM) Plastic still the best for mobility Yeap. Agreed. My Filco will remain at home when my Poker 2 comes. So use heavy one at home and bring the plastic out for working etc There's also polycarbonate and acrylic case/plate for custom keyboard. |

What's the mechanical keyboard equivalent of a mouse? Like, is there something as tactile and fun to use for the mouse like there is for the keyboard (aka mechanical keyboard)?

Good news for DSA Dolch seekers. Looks like SP has another batch of DSA Dolch for sale. But its way more expensive now at $70 ($50 before).

QUOTE(wildwestgoh @ Jun 11 2014, 02:36 PM) Just got my Poker 2 from yuktsi14, nice keyboard, just lack of the USB cable... Nice! » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Anyway, that's my office workspace, very small so I have to put it on my laptop, and on top of the palm rest due to the shorter length, otherwise it'll be pressing the keys on the laptop. So now I'm looking for extra height palm rest if there's any, otherwise I'll have to custom my own from soft styrofoam and put inside a bag or something of which I already has it on my mind. And thanks to justnits, I got a darn nice length cable for this keyboard as well, going to order another set, now looking at other colors... |
