QUOTE(TankerGadget Store @ Sep 30 2014, 12:47 PM) If you can acknowledge this blessing is of God, then it should encourage for you to know He got you covered in life. All you have to do is continue seeking Him, be open to the opportunities in life, don't stop but also don't worry. Why? Because worry gives the devil opportunity, let not give him that chance. This post has been edited by unknown warrior: Sep 30 2014, 12:53 PM |

The Waiting Game QUOTE Psalm 130:5 (NIV) I wait for the LORD, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope. No it's not the Hunger Game The waiting game. You'll be surprise to know the people of God back in the old testament experienced the same thing that we do today. Sometime God doesn't act, move, speak or answer. Just as the Psalmist pen this word; I wait for the LORD, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope. What does this mean? He too was waiting for God to act and to answer. He says MY WHOLE BEING waits. This is really a deep longing of wait. And I can understand the frustration because these are the panic moments, the pain moment that none of us are willing to go through. During my physically painful moment of almost 6 month of coughing with blood and without voice, I asked God, when you're going to heal me? But during this painful moment of God not answering me healing, I heard the Lord voice more when I was without problems in life. He said: Son are you willing to give up singing for my sake even if you don't have a voice to sing during worship or to worship lead? I understood his meaning. Am I willing to give what matters in my life to God, even the things that I like most. I said Yes. As long as I know it's from you, I'm willing. During this time I ate better than I did, was more careful of my food intake than I did before. Started to drink Warm and Hot water MORE frequent than I use to drink Ice Cold water all the time. My health improved, my body mass fine tune but the weirdest thing I couldn't accept is that despite of my health improving, my voice haven't come back. There's still spasm of cough with blood but it wasn't that bad as before because before that it was painful. I waited for God. For almost 6 months I couldn't sing during worship and I couldn't worship lead. It's very frustrating on my part because this is my passion in my life's devotion to God. It was then I got this warm inclination from God to keep on pressing deeper into Prayer, trust and rest with God. During this difficult moments I got more aggressive in my Faith towards the Lord. Yes there are moments when I felt like giving up and I did for few days before coming back to my senses. Yes there are moments of feeling down and pain and tears. But at the end of it all, God held me up in his grace in the sense I didn't totally abandoned it all. My Faith. So what is my point in the waiting game? What do you do when there is silence from God? Keep yourself busy in the Lord. You read the Bible, absorb his word, Be nice to the people in your surrounding (Love your enemies), You keep praying and you keep resting in God. You keep trusting God in the silent period. You will be surprise how much can learn during times like this as I did above. Your experience will Strengthen you to face life challenges ahead. The Bible promises, crying may endure for the night but JOY comes in the morning! What God is saying is that our Painful tribulation is only for a moment. God's Salvation and his promises is SURE TO COME! We wait. And His HEALING DID COME! Hallelujah! I wait for the LORD, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope. God Bless. God's providence QUOTE Philippians 4:19 (NIV)And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. I can preach this because by the grace of God, this verse has been true and it has been a wonderful and of many great blessings in my life. God is Faithful, He is a good God who loves to give good gifts to his children and I am here to testify of his goodness. God did not bless me with this wisdom of this promise to keep to myself, but to share with others how you too can partake in his blessing. We all have heard many things when it comes to God Providences. 1. Don't seek the hand of God. 2. You must be those upper category super spiritual religious to receive. 3. You can't received anything from God because you're a sinful person. 4. This is prosperity teaching, heresy. 5. It never happened to me so it can't be true. 6. God wants me to remain in poverty to teach me humility. 7. He only provide when necessary. 8. He gives but barely enough. 9. It's wrong to seek God's blessing. 10. I've not obeyed God enough so I can't receive. 11. <Insert whatever reasons> Here's the first thing you need to do, THROW ALL OF THAT out of your system of believe. It's not in the Bible, those are the words of Man, People. The sayings of Man trying to rationalize God's word. The problem with Man is that they try to be Holier than God, trying to outdo God by adding something that is not there. That is what happened to Eve when She answered to the Devil "‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’ ” (Genesis 3:3) God never said you can't touch it or you will die (Genesis 2:17). She added that on her own. This is the same problem we have today by religious people who have may good intention but the problem is, when you add in additions to God's word, it causes God's truth not to Truth anymore but mixture of dirt and half truth. This is how cults are born. Years ago, when I heard such sayings, it sounds good and it sound "religiously sound". But Little did I know, these sayings are really a hindrance. When I heard God's inner prompting: Son is that what I really said in my words? That stirred me to checked out every detail in the Bible. I couldn't find any of those saying. And I heard this prompting again: "When you have a wrong perspective of Me (meaning his word), it hinders the blessings" Lets take a good look at Philippians 4:19, what does it say? Can we just come to it in it's pure form and try not to add anything. Philippians 4:19: And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. 1. God WILL meet. I want you to Stop here and accept this as it is. Will means WILL! Not maybe, NOT 50-50. 2. ALL your needs. I want you to Stop here and accept this as it is. ALL MEANS ALL NEEDS. Not just 10% of this, a little of that, NO, ALL MEAN ALL OF YOUR NEEDS. 3. ACCORDING to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. I want you to Stop here and accept this as it is. Not according to the current economic situation. Not according to what the government is doing, Not according to the recent petrol increase. Not to according to ANYTHING that's happening to this world but according to his RICHES in Glory in Christ Jesus. I don't care if the economic Market crash. But but UW, if the market crash there's stagnant buying and selling, how can money flow? See? again you are trying to rationalize God's word. This is why our battle always have to do with our Faith. What is this actually? according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. The word Glory in the Greek is doxa. In the Strong concordance it can be define as splendor of God or divine quality of God. Here is the secret to this revelation. Understand how much God the Father Glorified Jesus ie; In his finish work. Do you see the son of God lesser or greater than the servant (Moses - the Law)? Do you accept that his finished at the cross is eternal redemption? Do you see that He is able to completely Saved you from your sins? If you still feel that what Christ did is lesser than what Adam did, in the sense that you're not sure Jesus is able to completely saved you or not, you don't see Him glorified in that sense. This is just 1 example. Or perhaps you don't feel that God loves you completely, you still have this sense of unknown fear. This is another example. How much you have the revelation that Christ is glorified, is how much your faith is open to receive. The truth of the foundation of this verse is, God the Father has INDEED Richly Glorified Christ Jesus whether you like it or not. Read the verse as it is and have Faith, that's all. Don't rationalize, don't add in what you've heard, discard it. Ask to Holy Spirit to do a Holy Cleansing of your mind to read God's word as it is. Ask his help to remove the sayings of Man. When I changed (repent) my perspective of God of who He is and his word and simply believe that He loves and WILL indeed answer my prayer as He promised, his blessings start to flow. I hope this will help you in this trying times as the cost of living has gone up but worry not my friends, Our Providence is from God, not Man and He provides according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus! God Bless. |

QUOTE(pehkay @ Oct 2 2014, 08:37 AM) JACOB - BEING CHOSEN I like this. Praise God for he is immeasurably GOOD!One of the most interesting people in the book of Genesis is Jacob. Genesis gives us the record of nine great persons. The first five—Adam, Abel, Enosh, Enoch, and Noah—are considered as five separate people. Although there was some spiritual relationship between them, strictly speaking, Adam, Abel, Enosh, Enoch, and Noah have nothing to do with each other. However, when we come to the last four—Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph—we see that, as far as the experience of life is concerned, they should not be considered as four separate individuals. With Abraham we do not have the matter of selection. The first item in Abraham's record is calling. But according to the New Testament revelation, the experience of God does not begin with God's calling but with His selection. Firstly, God selected us; secondly, He predestinated us; and thirdly, He called us. After God's calling, we have forgiveness, redemption, justification, regeneration, and God's full salvation. In this we can see that with Abraham we do not have the beginning of the experience of God. The beginning is with Jacob, for in him we see God's selection. In Jacob's record, however, we do not find God's calling. Therefore, we say once again that Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob plus Joseph are not four separate persons; they are four aspects of one complete experience in life. Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob with Joseph each represent an aspect of the experience of life. As we shall see, Jacob stands for the transformed life and Joseph represents the ruling aspect, the kingly aspect, of this transformed life. According to the New Testament revelation, the believers were firstly chosen by God in eternity past before the foundation of the world (Eph. 1:4). Secondly, the believers were predestinated according to God's selection. This also took place in eternity past. Then, in time, God called us. In God's calling, which follows His predestination, we receive forgiveness, redemption, justification, regeneration, and full salvation. In addition to all this, we must be transformed. Day by day we are under the process of God's transformation to be brought not only into the full sonship but also into the kingship. We were born sons of God, the royal sons, and we are undergoing the process of God's transformation that in the future we might be kings. We do not see the kingship with either Abraham or Isaac. The kingship is with Joseph, who was a part of Jacob. When Jacob was welcomed in Egypt, apparently Pharaoh was the king over the world. Actually, the true reigning one was Joseph, not Pharaoh. But Joseph did not stand for himself; he stood for his father. Thus, at that time, the world was ruled by Jacob through Joseph. All the saints are under the process of transformation in order to become kings. Hence, the proper, adequate, and complete experience of God goes from God's selection to our kingship. Selection was accomplished in eternity past, and the kingship will be for eternity future. Kingship is our destiny. In eternity past, God selected and predestinated us to be kings in eternity future. With Abraham we see neither the selection in eternity past nor the kingship in eternity future. In other words, Abraham's record has neither the beginning nor the ending of the experience of God, both of which are with Jacob. In Jacob's record, we have a very good beginning and also an adequate ending. Jacob, the heel-holder, the supplanter, was transformed into a prince of God. Eventually, he became Israel and was no longer Jacob. If we read the New Testament carefully, we shall see that the name of Israel ultimately appears in the New Jerusalem (Rev. 21:12). Although Israel is in the New Jerusalem, the names of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob are not found there. |

QUOTE(pehkay @ Oct 3 2014, 08:14 AM) Gen 1:26 And God said, Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of heaven and over the cattle and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth. The line of image (becoming God's expression) and dominion (representing God) can be traced throughout the Bible. Later, once you have settled some questions asked here. Someone PM me too, not really understanding about Jacob. |

QUOTE(sylar111 @ Oct 3 2014, 02:52 PM) Men was given dominion of the Earth initially but because of sin, they lost that. I mean a very good example, does Men has dominion over snakes, Lions and Tigers? Before the temptation probably yes. But after obviously no. Actually if you read Genesis 41, Pharaoh is only a figure head, Joseph become the Ruler.Anyway out of point totally. Nope. The Pharoah is the real ruler. He only delegated power to Joseph that's all. Again assumptions. No where in the bible did it ever mentioned that Jacob ever influence Joseph. Anyone and I mean anyone who has basic litetary skills will understand that Pharoah was no figurehead. That same Pharoah had the same power as the pharoah during Moses period. Well, why not. Because you say so? Again, I really do not want to get into a debate with you because it's going to be a never ending story. I will let the people judge for themselves. |

QUOTE(sylar111 @ Oct 3 2014, 03:20 PM) Nope. It's delegated. Pharaoh did not instruct him when it comes to ruler ship. Joseph gets to decide that on his own authority.Genesis 41 39 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art: 40 Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou. 41 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt. 42 And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph's hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck; 43 And he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had; and they cried before him, Bow the knee: and he made him ruler over all the land of Egypt. 44 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without thee shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt. And again in Genesis 45 7 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Say unto thy brethren, This do ye; lade your beasts, and go, get you unto the land of Canaan; 18 And take your father and your households, and come unto me: and I will give you the good of the land of Egypt, and ye shall eat the fat of the land. 19 Now thou art commanded, this do ye; take you wagons out of the land of Egypt for your little ones, and for your wives, and bring your father, and come. 20 Also regard not your stuff; for the good of all the land of Egypt is your's. 21 And the children of Israel did so: and Joseph gave them wagons, according to the commandment of Pharaoh, and gave them provision for the way. The land does not belong to Joseph. He is just ruling/ managing on behalf of the Pharoah. If the land belongs to Joseph, then Pharoah would not need to give the good land to his family. Anyway. I really do not want to get further then this because I know how biased you can be. In Fact Pharaoh reaffirms that in verse Pharaoh as Figurehead Genesis 41:40 (NIV) - You shall be in charge of my palace, and all my people are to submit to your orders. Only with respect to the throne will I be greater than you." Rulership Genesis 41:41 (NIV) - So Pharaoh said to Joseph, "I hereby put you in charge of the whole land of Egypt." Genesis 41:44 (NIV) - Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, "I am Pharaoh, but without your word no one will lift hand or foot in all Egypt." QUOTE(ngaisteve1 @ Oct 3 2014, 03:46 PM) I see lengthy about either Pharaoh or Joseph the real ruler. After that? Just about bible accuracy knowledge? QUOTE(de1929 @ Oct 3 2014, 04:04 PM) paradigm issue. Actually nothing wrong with discussing about Bible knowledge.btw: about bible accuracy... do you know that we, as Christian, bible accuracy knowledge is irrelevant ? I mean, if Jesus say the way to interpret is ABCD... then ABCD is the right paradigm... then ABCD lah regardless of accurate or not. Problem is, this is /k/ sometime shoes start to fly. |

QUOTE(sylar111 @ Oct 3 2014, 04:37 PM) You seem to have the wrong understanding pertaining to delegated powers Ownership and Ruler ship are 2 different things.http://www.answers.com/Q/What_is_the_meani...elegated_powers Anyway. Common Sense would have told you that the Pharoah will not cede power in that way. No one does that. Genesis 45 just demonstrate the fact that the land and everything still belongs to Pharoah. Joseph is just the CEO. He is still answerable to the Owner(Primarily Pharoah) The reason why Pharoah allowed Joseph to rule(manage) the country is because he trust him to do a good job. Simple as that. No where did it indicated that Pharoah "step" down from power. Ok, I was tempted, but this is really the last post pertaining to this. No need for further discussion. You obviously never even understand what people write before posting your reply. When you talk about delegated powers, It really depends on how far delegated power are permitted. In this context, Pharaoh gave him absolute power to which he does not interfere neither reject. No where in the Bible, it was recorded. Whatever Joseph decide, that is the Law. During Joseph tenure as Ruler, Pharaoh never interfered in any of his (Joseph) decision. Why/ Because Pharaoh acknowledge He is the wiser person who had the spirit of God. (Genesis 41:39) By Definition that is true ruler ship. I know what is delegated power, I've been in the corporate world. When you talk about Delegated Powers in the corporate definition, Sometimes whatever decision, the person made, He need to refer back to his higher superior which in this case, there is no known record of such. Yes I know Pharaoh by your definition is the real "King" in ownership sense He is the owner of the Land and Joseph cannot supersede him. But to say Pharaoh is the real ruler is not accurate. Why? Because He didn't rule anything during Josephs tenure as Ruler. Even the lay people outside of Pharaoh palace acknowledge that. Genesis 45:26 - They told him, "Joseph is still alive! In fact, he is ruler of all Egypt." Jacob was stunned; he did not believe them. This post has been edited by unknown warrior: Oct 3 2014, 05:08 PM |

QUOTE(sylar111 @ Oct 3 2014, 05:18 PM) Wow. So emotional. What do you mean I did it to other? But then it seems that when you do the same to others. You can just sweep it under the carpet. if you didn't know what happened before this, I have enough of this turmoil. Before you came in, there was this trouble maker, theaccountant. Not in the mood to go through another roller coaster ride. I just want our Christian fellowship to be a place where every Christians can relax and not have our defensive shield up all the time. It really defeat the purpose if we are always bickering all the time in here. Hope you understand. Edit: No I'm not implying you are theaccountant guy, don't get me wrong, I just want to avoid all form of hostility. And for whatever I've done you wrong, I apologize.
