The 1.8 is very very under-powered and there is a terrible lag . The car feels extremely flimsy as well on uneven road. I used to have a Latio 1.8, it was way more responsive and comfortable. Furthermore, Nissan's after sale service is terrible. Sylphy drivers can verify that there is a splashing sound when driving on wet roads. If you want a 1.8 engine car, please look elsewhere, the Sylphy will steal your money. The only reason we havent sold of this hunk of junk is because fuel is paid for or else we would have sold it off. You might wanna consider the Mazda 3. Just my 2 cents mate. |

I have not driven the Sylphy 1.8 but have owned the Sylphy 2.0 for 5 years and cannot agree with your remark about Tan Chong's after-sales service being poor. Level of satisfaction among owners is rated as very good by JDPower if I am not mistaken as TCEAS's after-sales is in the top 5 in the ranking of the survey. As for the performance of the car, the Sylphy 2.0 also has this splash sound on the wheel arches when it is driven in the rain, though it is not too bad. The overall NVH and quietness of the car (2.0) are good. Not too sure about the 1.8. Not too sure about the "very very underpowered" and terrible lag comment, but I don't think it will be too bad. Latio 1.8 is a smaller and lighter car so the acceleration may feel a bit quicker than the larger and heavier Sylphy. Nissan cars are not built so much for speed and performance but comfort and family use. For normal driving it should serve well. |

QUOTE(hitsugayat10 @ Apr 28 2015, 01:51 PM) Hi all, just wanna check with if you are having the same prob with me. My fuel indicator is seriously not accurate. I went to pump petrol yesterday morning at 830am with indicator showing slightly below half and only took in a max of 14.927 liter of fuel (for 186km). After running for 108km after refueling yesterday morning, indicator is at 3rd quarter. For a 52liter tank, it should be showing more meaning still within d 4th quarter zone. Is this normal for B17 or my indicator or tank sensor has prob? Thanks a bunch Interesting the speedometer of the Sylphy 1.8 now goes up to 240km/h. The previous Sylphy 2.0 speedometer only shows up to 180km/h. ![]() Any of you guys have similar prob? |

QUOTE(Unseen83 @ Jun 6 2015, 01:43 PM) well what car do not suffer from depreciation price true passing of time... How about NVH for the new sylphy? Can it match the previous generation? I have drive a previous model and I am impressed with NVH level. Very hard to notice the engine sound into the cabin. The back seat also comfort for passengers. But the downside is safety features and it look. So after the new generation sylphy came out, I really hope it will carry the same level from previous model.well same goes to me, DO you mind to upload pic of your MOTHER Sylphy ? with paper tag saying your LYN name ? hm 4 month performance of my sylphy become slow i see..
