when i add my second gpu, i did not REinstall my driver...(i forgot to do so) is this effect crossfire performance ? i am not running into issues at moment, just curious...

should be no prob.. sometimes i also plug out 1 gpu for cleaning and leave the other one working.. never need to reinstall driver.

No, no need to do that, just remember to enable crossfire under catalyst control center & disable ULPS under MSI afterburner if u want to do that

sorry, what is ULPS ? i have that option Tick on my TRIXXX OC software...

Hi, i got a decent offer for r9 280x Dcu asus. But i read, it having many problems like artifacts and screen tearing.

Anyone here owned r9 280x and having those problems?

eh bro i hear it too... but dunno if is real or not... i reccomend get R9 290 or GTX 970 for rm1,200

Something related to power saving for the secondary gpu when idle in crossfire configuration

thats why i want to hear from forumers here. Maybe R9 280X here does not effected.

Unfortunately, that completely out of my budget

so when i tick it ULPS in TRIXX it mean... ? on idle CFX the second gpu will be switch off ? ? well it make sense why my Second GPU on idle or light work is temp below 40C good to know it work...

... driver issue ... basicly it can fix via unlock @ pump more voltage to gpu...

That more like a sidegrade, just overclock your current GPU and wait till you can afford a 970/290 or even better.

hm so i set Disable ULPS(on TRIXX), at moment my 1st GPU 2nd GPU during gaming both to be on... temp 1st GPU intend to go 70C+ meanwhile second under 70C, but when youtube/web site research/ and pic/video editing session.. my 1st gpu is under 60C meanwhile 2nd Gpu is under 40C... so this is good right ? ... sorry noob level of understanding... lol

Add-on : sumtime 1st/2nd gpu go under 50C during video or idle...

plus it base on motherboard too have test few motherboard which have extra molex power to gpu. and using it .......... like 4 pin@ 6pin@ sata version gaybite... the card dont have isue..

fug it... i test test benchmark so on... (luxmark,heaven,valley,3dmark13,Catzilla)(test method repeat 3 -6 time 1 to 3 hour) my CFX seem to be solid(dare to say so at moment) 1,080mhz/ mem 1,410 using Driver 14.8 beta seem stable in 4k desktop and 4k gaming..

oc software using Sapphire Trixx V4.8.2 (do not use trixxV 4.8.6 seem to keep crash on my hardware setting)
