my fan stopped working and i don't know why...decided to take it apart and followed this guide...now the fan is working like charm...thanks sniper...

just wondering. i wanna add some lubricant to the fan. which part of the dismantel fan should be lubricated?

i mean remove the frame from original fan,leave the blades only

u can, just potong the frame..
the 4 kaki that stick the fan to the frame...

or jsut buy this fan blade from uglyvamp.. hohohohh
his 12cm blades very tempting... thumbup.gif

Just curious to know, is all the fan detachable? I mean the fan and the bracket? If it can be detach, is it just cabut the fan out or there is a way of cabutting it? Because i wanna wash it and i was thinking tat dipping a fan into a pail full of detergen and water is a bad idea.

Yes, fans can be disassembled, there was an old thread in one of the forums about it. The real risk of washing with detergent is that it will mess up the bearing-best if remove it before washing or you'll have to clean the detergent off, dry it carefully and reoil it. Otherwise your fan will die within say, 1 year.

Add: I could show you, but I don't have a camera. Sigh, always have to borrow...

Interest 2 dismantle fan here too. I been try dismantle a couple of DC fans b4 n not every type canbe dismantle rite? I broken a few of them liao cry.gif
