Yeah, pushups are good, build core and tricep strength. Doesn't do that much for bodybuilding though. Try different pushups, with arms narrow or wide, and don't cheat on them. If that doesn't seem much, do wall ups.

It's call handstand push-ups
i cannot imagine anybody vertically sticking themselves to the wall and executing push-ups i do them daily like 100 morning, 100 night. it's just a boring routine. so i will skip while doin them, or close grip, super wide grip, or do triangle-push ups, and all variations. Just to make it more fun. Does nothing for bodybuilding. Just pumping onli |

If you want to build muscle, dun do fast, 50 times is so so only ... do the following
1) start by ur chest touching the ground, face pointing forward so that your chin will be touching the ground, not your nose. 2) slowly push up your body. It should take about 3 seconds before reaching the highest point, but dun go until you lock your elbow. Just before you lock your elbow, start going down slowly, also 3 seconds, until your chest touch the ground. 3) pause for 1 second before repeating the above steps. I bet you can do for more than 10 times on the first try. |

My friend's about 45KG......waaa....dekat 100lbs tu.
kenot la........ they must have hospitals within 500 meters of each other in that magazine's country. QUOTE 1) start by ur chest touching the ground, face pointing forward so that your chin will be touching the ground, not your nose. 2) slowly push up your body. Because before you can even feel any muscle soreness, you already run out of breath. Panting siak...but muscles still macam belum buat anything. so that's why must add certain variations. but generally for starters, the slow push-ups is great. get your mom to sit on you after a while la....but not if your mom weighs 150lbs and eats 5 roti canai for breakfast with kopi tambah gula kurang susu. |

Yeah, its rubbish ANyway if you need to do emergency carry as one person you don't use your arms but your back by doing fireman carry. Or else arms sure die one.If two people do chairlift on a conscious person and deadman's lift on a unconsious person if really dont have equipment. BEst is of course to secure the neck before lifting if at all possible, esp in MVA. |

if you have to carry that person, you shouldnt carry him/her at all, call 999 and get an ambulance. if you have medical know how or know first aid, stablise your friend and keep him/her calm. you never move an unconcious person or person with possible broken bones if you dont know what you're doing.
i've heard stories of how people try to carry their friends or family member who suffered a stroke and unknowingly caused their deaths or worsened the situation. imo better to do nothing if you know nothing, knowing a little of something can be worse than knowing nothing at all. |

Unrealisticlah. Wait for ambulance wor...u know how long it takes for ours to arrive? Within 15 minutes is the guideline fo all emergency ambus under the 999 despatch system; they will call St Johns or Red Cres or specific hospitals depending on the location. This is in BEST possible situation-so people will need to move accident victims regardless. i've heard stories of how people try to carry their friends or family member who suffered a stroke and unknowingly caused their deaths or worsened the situation. imo better to do nothing if you know nothing, knowing a little of something can be worse than knowing nothing at all. Back to the topic, I myself can only do about 30-40. Am I a big taufu or what? And what is this wall pushup thing? Tak paham. Pictures...? |

maybe, but from personal experience and what i've heard from emt's, people who try to move patients can end up worsening or killing them in the process.

QUOTE(iDk @ Jul 28 2006, 06:28 PM) depends how far into labour she is, if her water just broke you can probably get her to the hospital in your car with no issues. you dont want to have her in late labour while you're stuck in traffic, she'd be clawing at you while you drive and pushing the baby out onto your car floor, all the while cursing you for putting her through the pain of child birth. like i said, it depends on how severe the case is.
