I've been to their interview before. Must be the same position tongue.gif . But I was not shortlisted after that sad.gif . Anyway, their office looks alright. They are in the same building as Prudential etc.

Normally, I don't ask about salary, OT etc. during interview. HR will eventually explain the terms to me smile.gif .

Perhaps you all should read my statement again. I said "Normally, I don't ask about salary, OT etc. during interview. HR will eventually explain the terms to me " . Understand the bolded words? smile.gif

u can ask the salary during the interview session. Or i can tell u, for fresh grad engineer (wat ever engineer) basic is 2000 plus 250 travel allowances, that make 2350/month. Then they do porvide house loan and car loan.
Car loan can be applied after ur 3 months probation period. House loan forget liao....When u get married, they'll give u a small gift of their products.
Not mistaken got around 17 days annual leave.......
They do subsidy staff for lunch. and rice are FOC, can take how much u wan, haha.....
thats all i know.

AFAIK... Panasonic R&D offers one of the best remunerations (maybe for fresh grad oni la, i dunno) among all the companies... even higher than Altera, so wat do u think? hehe. I think the benefits are REALLY good there, do not feel hesitate to join them if you can.

First interview, basically they will give u some IQ test which comprise of several sections with LOTS of questions which impossibly u can answer them all. And do not attempt to 'tembak' cos I heard making a wrong answer is more undesired than leaving blank.

After that, here comes some test on C or C++. But they r MCQs so it's quite ok oso..

Then, u'll sit for the interview where they will ask u some questions which r non technical. e.g. ur final year project, or project that u've done, technical skill tat u have.. blah blah blah

Second interview, I heard you'll be interviewed by their top management, where they'll ask u questions like: why do u choose panasonic, wat's ur expected salary, so on. Then they'll test you on C programming. Here u'll need to write some function I think.. and I heard not quite easy also.

Basically wat joanaloidog said is kinda untrue. Nothing like subsidy for lunch cos they don even have their canteen. Rice are FOC? LOL

Since the threadstarter is asking about the working environment, I'll say it's very clean la, spacious and some privacy, heehee. Friendly colleagues also. each person will have 1 desktop and 1 laptop to use. wat's more? full subsidy to ur home broadband!

thanks to all the constructive replies, it was my lucky day and i was offered a position in PRDCM today. however, it will be a 1 year contract working basis...a lil risky if u ask me, do u guys think i should request for a normal probation instead of taking the 1 year contract?

and wat are the pro and cons working under contract? icon_question.gif

From what I think;

Contract Staff:
1) Not much benefits
2) Higher pay (to compensate those benefits)
3) Risky when comes to the end of your contract because they might or might not extend your contract.

my 2 cents worth is that regardless of if you are permanent or contract, if you perform;there's nothing to worry about.

Hi does anyone know exactly what type of things or research they do in the R&D centre? I hear from one of my friend said that they do some IR programming for the remote controls for the new models of media players such as DVD or VCR. Betul kah ni?

Is there anyone that can briefly explain what type of R&D work they are doing - which field or industry and people group they r targetting? kinda interested to know...
