If he's arrested in Thailand, and gets sent to a Thai prison, he's going to suffer.

Thai prison is notorious for being very savage and inhumane.

YSLM Headquarter At Puchong closed due to no one to manage it and unable to pay rent. According to this FB page, most of them already went back to China to continue their business.

Is YSLM ringing up another multi-level marketing scheme?

user posted image
(This is the advertisement for YS Mobile which has replaced another advertisement depicting self proclaimed 'world's future richest man' Zhang Jian, believed to be behind YSLM, an unregistered direct sales company.)

Is multi-level marketing company YSLM, which has for long been the centre of controversy for its alleged “get-rich-quick” schemes, now offering mobile services, via YS Mobile service?

This could just be the case after several similarities between YSLM and YS Mobile were detected.
For one it is interesting to note that YSLM and YS Mobile bear initials that are almost similar, while its Chinese name also sounds alike when pronounced.

YSLM stands for “Yun Shu Mao” while in Mandarin, YS Mobile stands for “Yin Xun Tong”.
It had also been previously reported in the Chinese media that YSLM charity wing chairman Datuk John Lee Kim Tian had launched a mobile service.

Meanwhile, according to itswebsite, it seems that YS Mobile runs similarly to YSLM, as it requires users to be paid members in order to obtain a SIM card.

The website goes on to state that the membership fee is RM350, which allows users to obtain a SIM card worth RM16.80 with RM5 worth of free talk-time.

The company also claims to offer a free RM100,000 personal accident insurance from one of its partners to subscribers who reload a minimum of RM30 per month.

Those who sign up are also offered RM300 worth of bitcoins, which can only be used to purchase items on their website.

Its multi-level marketing scheme comes into play when existing members introduce others, receiving from RM60 to RM300 or more when members join.

A Facebook page called “Protection against illegal pyramid schemes in Malaysia” , which carries alerts on such schemes, claimed that YS Mobile’s SIM cards also contain gambling applications that allowed users to win real money when they topped up mobile credit at YS Mobile’s top-up machines.

These machines, called Woopit Terminal, were located at selected convenience stores, apartments, condominiums and food courts.

The Rakyat Post also observed that a signboard depicting self-proclaimed “world’s future richest man” Zhang Jian — who is behind YSLM — located at the company’s office and members’s club, had been replaced with a YS Mobile advertisement.

YSLM stirred controversy after it was alleged that it may dupe people out of money via its pyramid scheme and “get-rich-quick” scheme.

The Malaysian Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry also labelled YSLM as a direct sales company which was not registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia and said it operated without a licence from the ministry.

Late last year, Zhang was reportedly arrested in Thailand for allegedly scamming RM605 million from thousands in China, Malaysia and Thailand.

Tee Sook Huei, 26, represented CDTUP International Sdn Bhd pleaded guilty to two counts of breaching licence conditions under Section 6(4) of the Direct Sales and Anti-Pyramid Scheme Act 1993.

A direct selling company was ordered to pay RM120,000 fine by the Sessions Court here for two counts of breaching licence conditions.

Company directors Tan Hong Lim, 24, and Tee Sook Huei, 26 who represented CDTUP International Sdn Bhd pleaded guilty to the charges under Section 6(4) of the Direct Sales and Anti-Pyramid Scheme Act 1993.

On the first count, the company was alleged to have failed to inform the Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry of its change in address.

On the second count, CDTUP International was charged with selling goods other than those approved by the ministry under the direct sales licence.

The company committed both offences at its premises at Blok A-1-G, Setiawalk Shop Lot, Persiaran Wawasan, Pusat Bandar Puchong, Puchong near here around 2.40pm on July 8, 2014.

CDTUP was also alleged to have been linked to self-proclaimed richest man in the world Zhang Jian, who is now reported to be living as a monk in Thailand.

Judge Ahmad Azahari Abdul Hamid fined the company RM60,000 for each offences and ordered Tan and Tee to serve six months in prison if they fail to pay the fine.

Deputy public prosecutor A. Kartiyayini prosecuted while R. Kalaiyarasi represented CDTUP International.
