QUOTE(enjoylife @ Jul 22 2014, 02:04 PM) i called OCBC and enquired about OCBC FD promo at 3.9% p.a. for 12m. Hmmmm dilemma now......RHB 15m 4.06% or OCBC 12m 3.9% should be the better choice? The customer service officer told me as below: 1.) Fresh fund 2.) Min 10k 3.) No CASA needed 4.) Promo till end of July 5.) Open to non-muslim/muslim Guess this is the best 12m FD rate so far, yea? Cheers. Last promo for OCBC 3.65% for 12m die die require me to open a savings account although it's a direct FD. |

QUOTE(bearbear @ Jul 30 2014, 03:45 PM) 1. UOB groupon deal - the eAccount require you to get an ATM debit card, +RM8 cost (Need to deposit RM5000 + RM8). They also run a check on you to check if you are first time customer for UOB. 1. How do they define as first time customer for UOB? If I have their Credit Card but do not have any banking accounts with them, am I considered as First Time customer?2. Affin 15m 4.05% deal - the cashier insist i must open a saving account (no book, no atm, no internet banking). Deposit RM20 for the SA. FD is straight forward 4.05% for 15 months, interest pay out when matured. 2. This is indeed weird. Forcing people to open up a SA? |
