since when any local mainstream banker/valuer/dev spokesperson ever says prop price will go down? tongue.gif

i personally do not see prices coming down anytime soon, but... if buying to speculate, pls think again... no point if house/condo prices go up 3-4% a year....

last month, i checked hlb, nothing interesting.

will check next week, see if they hv anything good, like.... yes....the last hlb jr promo... nice!

with majority of bursa recent ipo's poised to go below ipo price, better stay safe with around 4% fd rates! tongue.gif

it is still ok for now.

the thing i got from the banker is that most of these by cimb have been recalled. this particular 5.2% one we hv may be only one issued in that period that is still on-going. perhaps it is due to the size, cimb kept it.

well, we'll see... for now, the qtrly int is good enough for me...

here's wat i got for hlb and uob:

hlb
fresh funds current promo is 12m 3.85%, need another 10% in casa earmarked 6m.
or 15m 4.00%, need another 10% casa earmarked 6m.
effective is really about 3.675%.
existing funds, 12m think it's 3.4%.

uob
fresh funds 12m 3.85%, no frills.
existing funds 12m 3.40-3.45%.

so, depending on where yr funds are now, choose the right bank.

considering int in savings acc, effective is really about 3.7%.

uob
fresh funds 13m 3.85% pa, no frills.

can see there is a mixed camp - some love it, some stay away like a plague.

i m with the no camp, will not take the risk, will not support such shadowy entities.

i m surprised thsi the best mach is offering now.

i just placed hlb 4.0% pa for 15m - need another 10% in casa earmarked 6m.

or take 12m 3.85% for 12m, same another 10% casa earmarked 6m.

can't see how mach is better this time...
