They probably design in such a way so that people will buy a new mouse every 2-3 years biggrin.gif
That's business. Anyway, I gave up using Razer products as from experiences, they are flimsy and break quite easily. I prefer Steelseries.

even expensive mouse also use omron switch, heavy usage gonna wear out the left click in 1 year or sooner. eventually need to open the switch and correct the bronze lever, or resolder new switch.

ROG replaceable switch seems nice but i seen review saying the mouse itself not as good due to hardware acceleration and rubber peeling grip.

Steelseries one might be better since they use custom switch rated for 30M clicks, but not sure though.

oh well, at least omron one the switch easier to open than some other switch.

the problem is not just limited to Razer, Logitech also share the same problem due to that lousy omron switch. I literally give up on gaming mouse already, they usually cost 3-5x the price of regular mouse but they dont last 3-5x longer. Might as well just buy regular mouse and change it every time it spoil. sigh.

If I have to drop so much money on a mouse I do not expect myself to service so often. So that replaceable switch feature is kinda poinless. doh.gif anyway I just give up already, many regular mouse > gaming mouse

*meanwhile i am still hoping a mouse imunue to this problem. cry.gif

One thing about gaming mouse is the ability to customise the settings (sensitivity, acceleration, etc) and offer high dpi which normal mouse doesn't. If you play high resolution, you will need that dpi rate so no choice, gaming mouse is still preferred.

I've bought a lot of expensive gaming mouse before and it's really no big deal compared to the cheap ones. In fact, those RM100+ gaming mouse can already do the job most of the time. Currently I'm settled with a SS Rival, don't even bother changing to anything else despite owner SS Sensei & other more expensive mouse before.

A lot of games got mouse slider already. So can adjust per game basis

Unless you want to adjust on the fly for FPS game like diff guns diff dpi. I rarely use that feature, so those button no use for me.

didn't try soldered the switches yourself?

QUOTE(celciuz @ Aug 7 2017, 07:13 PM)
It is a wear and tear part bro... unless you get the ROG with replaceable omron switches.
*

Regular mouse doesn't have the feature to customize your mouse button like G300S. Useful on some game. DotA for example. Assign each key for your item inventory

Hi guys, I bought a Razer Taipan 2 years ago from Vxxxnet. I seldom use the mouse, only on FPS game once a week. I spam another old mouse in dota. So, this mouse is well taken care off.

Recently this Razer mouse is having double click on left click. I haven't register my warranty at Razer yet. I think this mouse no longer covered by warranty anymore right? Do we have Razer service center in Malaysia?

If the Razer mouse is not covered under warranty. I am planning to replace the switch by myself or let someone to repair it. Anyone have the recommendation in getting the switch or third party repair guy?

not sure about Razer service center. but there are some guides and youtube vid on the internet to fix the mouse double click problem. you can either open the switch up and fix the bronze lever thingy or replace the entire switch, but u will need to desolder and solder the new switch on.

saw this guy selling OMRON on lyn: https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2466324

I bought a g102 but i find that i still prefer my old abyssus which is light and rubberized. Does the new abyssus v2 comes with rubberized coating as well and light?
