The tablet just released today. Manage to test demo set at Sony lowyat just now. very light and fast! pricing is like rm1999 for wifi only and rm2299 for lte version. only 16gb storage version available now.

I've been waiting since sony launch at mwc. The whole world sell z2 tablet same price as they launch tablet z last year. If malaysia here really selling 1999 for wifi n 2299 for lte then I won't buy alr. Jump to Ipad air better. Resell value more good n high.

Really disappointed with this price......
Ipad air cheaper.
If sony bundle with accessories like taiwan this price still acceptable. If not then have to consider ipad air lo.

Hopefully he is mistaken with the 32gb wifi model.
Told by a staff from sony center the price will be the same as the Tablet Z during launch. Tentatively around Rm1599 price for 16gb wifi.

I think I probably skip it since Tablet Z serve me well.

Anywhere if you need a good 10.1" tablet, this is well recommended.

Nothing is confirmed yet. Expansys selling import Z2 phone for Rm2960 16gb as opposed to the RM2399 price.

Already checked with two sony shops at lowyat (ground floor and upper ground floor), same price quoted. its 16gb units for both wifi and lte. Yeah, its very expensive actually for 16gb =.=. a bit turned off.

I bought this from hongkong last month only cost me hkd 4690 for 32gb wifi version. Which is RM2030.

Went to sony centre just now. Fit price n no accessories bundle with n no promo at all. Really Fedup with sony malaysia.
The most expensive price in the world compare to other countries.
Better get from expansys or from other source.

Rm1650 from expansys but if come to malaysia sure got tax. In the end price after tax also almost same like sony malaysia selling

Just went to Sony center in curve to molest this beast. Have to say it is incredibly thin. But I notice that the back cover is plastic like it's predecessor. And the back plastic actually wrap around to the side of the device. Then the aluminum strip are like ' glued' to the center of the sides. And I am not really liking this plastic side. It felt rough, like unpolished or unfinished... Maybe it was done that way so that we get a better grip of the device. But I can't help feeling it's unfinished product...

Other than that, screen is awesome. But I have to turn off the x- reality when I am viewing the spiderman2 trailer as the over saturated color of the x- reality makes the movie worse.

The loud speaker is ok. But the environment is quite noisy so I have to max out the volume to hear the sound from the trailer.

And no free gift whatsoever a of now...

RM1999 by sony malaysia, really ripped off malaysian consumer. RM500 more expensive than Z1 tablet. Crazy pricing might as well buy ipad air lo

I've sold all apple product like iPhone, iPad, macbook n switch to sony last year.
Getting z, z ultra then z1. N tablet z as well. Think of changing to z2 tablet once it launch. But it's so let down when hearing the price. Really disappointed n upset.

Wow. How is lazada's warranty?

I cracked my tablet z screen last night while watching Liverpool match. Today I went to Sony Centre and they freaking quote me Rm1.6k just to fix the screen. So I'm giving up fixing my old tab z. I can't accept the fact that I'm living without a tab. So I went to apple to try the ipd air, is kind of nice and solid moreover I don't think I can Crack ipad's screen so easily compare to the Z. But I can't accept the fact that I cannot transfer file easily using ipad. So I went to Sony and straight buy the tab z2 lte. Just gotta promise my self to be extra careful this time.

Anyway I bought without freebies and one year warranty. Pretty expensive.

seems to me sony is not really pushing for sales of z2 tablet... it's quite common to have some sort of sales/promotion/freebies upon launch. but this nothing at all...

Toyed with the tablet yesterday. Slight stutter with the home screen like the first Z1 4.4 update. Firmware update might be able to fix it.

The tablet comes with vibration.

Sony really like to screw up with the screen department and i dont know why. The screen looks very dated with the low ppi count.
Coming from the ipad air, you really can tell the difference with pixel density and cringe on it.

Stacking ipad air on top of the Z2 tablet and you can see 1 inch of bezel of z2.

Verdict, its hardly even worth RM1999.

This the lazada is sold by 3rd party, so warranty will be provided by the 3rd party

I've just call up lazada ofis. They said no warranty for z2 tablet. Cos at their website there didn't status have warranty.

Today , i got chance to testing and playing around this tab z2 at Gardens .. Really meet my need and liking.. Can link with my bravia tv smoothly and play game with ps3 controller .. Compare with tab note 10 samsung beside the shop , i still prefer z2 eventho note have s pen
but still expensvie price .. Have a little chat with Sony Centre Manager , he will to give foc screen protector only if i buy it now... But i ask when the promo ? He said may be earlier May , with z2 smartphone promo , but the price not decreased , will bundle with accesories like earphone , casing or dock .. He also Ask my contact number and will give a call when Sony will have tablet z2 promo ..

So conlusion wait for 2 weeks more for good news ..

will definitely wait for a bundle promo lucky im holding back and contemplating which to buy..at first Z Ultra or Tablet Z2, i know ZU is phablet, but i prefer to use it as tablet , then over weekend added Note 10.1 2014...so i guess better hold back until May

Hi guys,just bough a sony Z2 tablet here, having a problem with the qvod apps, it seems like I can't download movie at all by using this tablet but working fine at my samsung note 2 phone,any idea what happen?

Ps: this tablet working marvelous on the remote control function, don't be surprised when some one turn your Tv off while the remote control is still on yourhand :-P

Qvod only can save the movie on internal storage for Android kitkat 4.4. It can't save at sd card.

So did you get the LTE or Wifi only version??

i just checked with Kuching's Boulevard Sony Shop.
They offering free casing and 8gb SD memory card. They are also offering PWP (Purchase With Purchase) with some other casings and magnetic charger.

Went to buy the Sony Tablet WiFi at Sony shop Citronella, Kuching.

The Sony outlet i dealt with had no stock for Xperia Z2 Tablet casing, so the casing i received for my bundle was a CaseMate one for Xperia Z Tablet. The salesman said when the casing arrived he will exchange this current one with the new z2 stock, so i am guessing its a original Sony casing? hopefully

Finally they're giving something useful. Will go check it out tomorrow

Just checked it at The Curve.

That is the case which is free from Sony and a matte screen protector. Promotion is until tomorrow to celebrate Mother's day.

But mine got problem. The left area between the screen and the edge got squeaky sound when I'm holding the tablet. Then the edge of the screen changes colour when I press harder. Need to go back to the shop and check with them
