Let's shift to Russia:
Idea Of The Week: Revisiting Russia [8 August 2014] The Russian equity market, represented by the RTSI$ Index, has fallen by 6.72% in USD terms, as of 24 July 2014, since the announcement of a new round of sanctions imposed by US and European Union (EU) policymakers as market participants and economists deliberate on how this could affect the Russian economy. Since we identified a buying opportunity earlier this year amid the geopolitical tensions that flared up over the Crimean situation, we take a closer look at the current developments and also include comments from the fund managers of AmInvest and TA Investment Management Berhad on the outlook on Russia. QUOTE(kswee @ Aug 10 2014, 09:30 PM) Only service charge portion will be subjected to GST.If you're asking about fund performance after GST implementation, that will depend on fund that is investing locally which in turn depends on Malaysian market performance. |

Just realized that Public Far East Select Fund is feeding into PUBLIC CHINA ACCESS EQUITY FUND since it has 31.83% exposure in China.
PUBLIC CHINA ACCESS EQUITY FUND has direct investment in China equity market not through proxy at Hong Kong. Did some geographical analysis on my portfolio and found out that I'm equity heavy on Bolehland now:

QUOTE(Jordy @ Aug 17 2014, 10:39 AM) repusez, He just wants to use the bond fund as parking place and then, switch to equity fund.If I'm not mistaken, you can only withdraw from your EPF for investment once every 3 months. Or has EPF changed its regulations? But why would you want to withdraw from EPF to invest into bond fund? It will have lower returns over the long run. Should take a higher risk with the EPF funds for potentially higher returns as you have a very long time frame for it. Not sure if that strategy is possible but another forumer concurred with the idea. This post has been edited by David83: Aug 17 2014, 11:02 AM |
