My algo, last month already prompted me to sell 20% in Bolehland equities inc my beloved Lee Sook Yee  fund.

It suggested to put my money into REITs and Asia Pac ex-Japan exposure. 

Today, Bolehland drop... why so ngam wan ar?

Who would want to go the opposite way of the money?

My set of thinking is that although 1 year is too short of a time frame to evaluate a fund, but if you guys are moving on.. Probably I will be..

Anyway, I believe that if one put their portfolio on auto pilot, they actually earn more. Like HSAQ. For the rest of the fund which I touch, return like crap.

I guess it is no difference with weather forecast, if the weatherman said this area X will experience thunderstorm at the particular time, then you should take precaution and not wash your bed-linen or curtain during that particular time.

My algo prompted me a signal and I acted on it, which is sell my Bolehland fund and true enough two weeks later Bolehland index dropped.

But people, my algo is not perfect... still work in progress. The algo is based on Modern Portfolio Theory which I learn during my CFP class.

apa itu behavioral economics? invest in people? meaning what? you follow star fund manager? let's say Lee Sook Yee leave Kenanga to Pheim, means you will Kenanga and buy Pheim funds?

If i were you, I will take the 50K to buy into an open ended funds with good track record.. have the flexibility

He just wants to use the bond fund as parking place and then, switch to equity fund.

Not sure if that strategy is possible but another forumer concurred with the idea.
