lol. i think the quote above is also applicable to men. But anyway, i really did take into account his comment about FSM. It is just that i am new to all this, would be better if there is a consultant to give advice. Since FSM and directly through bank charging the same fee, better to get a consultant for advice right?  blush.gif  Will explore FSM when more familiar with UT investment after some readups smile.gif

What to you think about EI MY focus fund vs KGF?

Both seems to be in bolehland equities.
*
Both funds are having quite similar objective.

KGF: Aims to provide unit holders with long-term capital growth with benchmark against FBM KLCI
EI MYF: The Fund seeks to provide investors with capital appreciation in the medium to long-term with an opportunity
for income with benchmark against FBM KLCI

It's a matter past performance and future performance! whistling.gif

Last time asked at a FSM function, the Distributor actually takes a share of the Management Fee charged by the Fund House.

Would this jack up the management fee?

My current equity funds split:

35% Eastspring Investments Global Emerging Markets
16% Hwang Select Asia (ex Japan) Quantum
7% Hwang Select Opportunity

Feel wanna add in CIMB Asia Pac Dynamic Income or AmAsia Pac Equity Income...but trim which fund(s)' % to fit it in? sad.gif

Geographical split is about 33% Japan+Europe+US now.
*

Aberdeen Islamic World Equity Fund - Class A 16%
CIMB-Principal Asia Pacific Dynamic Income Fund 14%
Hwang Select Asia (ex Japan) Quantum Fund 20%
CIMB-Principal Global Titans Fund 12%
Kenanga Growth Fund 12%
Eastspring Investments Equity Income Fund 16%

*Excluding PRS Funds

Very heavy on Bolehland sweat.gif

And zero GEM exposure hmm.gif

Oh, I remember u said u hold no stocks...ok lar u can go heavy on Bolehland...but my stock portfolio is as big as if not bigger than my UT portfolio...don't wanna go too heavy on Bolehland.

So, which u reckon I should trim to fit in a Asia ex Japan (large) fund?
*
I did mention that CIMB-Principal Asia Pacific Dynamic Income Fund is a slow and steady grower right?

You can consider to put into this fund.

CIMB PRS is feeding into this fund too.

Add: Eh, Aberdeen ada exposure to Brazil lar!

So, u got a bit GEM exposure...

Which fund u reckon I should trim?
*
I think it recently rebalance into other countries. It used to be heavily in Europe and US.

Unless it has a heavy exposure in GEM; otherwise, I'll still treat it under developed region.

Are you satisfied with your return from Ponzi and RHB-OSK Global Equity Yield? I'll consider these two.

I don't think you would want to trim Eastspring Investments Global Emerging Markets since you're putting faith to EI market.

You have very little exposure in bolehland in Hwang Select Opportunity. So just ignore it.

CIMB is still the taiko.

They're concentrating to create the biggest Islamic bank in Malaysia and/or SEA region.

I don't think the investment arm will be affected much.

I bought CIMB Global Titan Fund when FSM claimed it have a good potential to growth and given 1% sc discount rate.
Now look like the performance is not what FSM predict last time.
Now I even don't trust the recommended list, better do my own research.

I also have CIMB Global Titan Fund and its kind of laggard lately. sweat.gif

Ponzi fund is heavy in Bolehland (35.7%) and our southern neighbour Kiasuland (27.8%) sweat.gif

It somehow has become like an ASEAN fund.
