The return for FD is way too low, it only serves as a defensive against inflation (but not all time as inflation nowadays can easily beat the interest offered by FD).

Depends on your risk profile, invest your money into blue chip counters if you have the stock investment knowledge, or invest into some good unit trust funds out there that offer you consistent good return.

What is the exampleof consistent return fund.. kgf . Seems to be doing fine but dunno when the run will end

Last straw...IRR dropped below 3% shakehead.gif

furthermore with impending rate rise, I don't see any meaning keeping. might as well park all at CMF earning 3.1%

AmDynamic Bond is the saddest in my portfolio. I just observe the NAV keeps sliding together with ROI and IRR. cry.gif

RHB-OSK Emerging Markets Bond giving my IRR of 5% now, steadily increasing tongue.gif

If u insist to have a Malaysian/Malaysian-focused bond fund now, I'd suggest RHB-OSK Income Fund 2

All funds have SC being charged during buying time.

For the so called any SC or fee being charged during selling, you need to refer to fund info if there's any exit fee. For example, AmDynamic Bond Fund has an exit fee of 1% imposed during selling.

Thanks David83. Appreciate the answer. Will look for more information from the website.

No min amount for FSM, EUT Rm500 min, below that will charge Rm2.

Cool. I was thinking of pumping in RM100 / month for a few funds just for regular savings for my kids education fund so I guess my plan stays the same now since there won't be RM2 for every RM100 I pump in to each fund. Else I won't considering topping up RM100 with 2% charge (RM2)

Wow, overweight equity funds now!

How much IRR u getting from KGF now?

My personal stock portfolio IRR (17%+) outperformed IRR for Hwang Select Opportunity (12%+), but underperformed Hwang Select Asia Quantum (20%+).

KGF is too young; about 1 month.

IRR is not meaningful as its too high.

ROI is 3.19% as of last Friday NAV.

AmDynamic Bond: ROI is 5.52% and IRR is 2.41% as of last Thursday NAV

I'm thinking to take advantage of 1% SC for Ponzi and then switch (immediately) to Hwang Select Opportunity which got no discount ph34r.gif

Calling xuzen! tongue.gif

I actually quite fond of Eastspring Equity Income, solid fund, but reason why I prefer to keep Hwang Select Opportunity is because of free switching facility between it and Hwang Select Asia Quantum (Ponzi) so I can play around with large cap/small-mid cap weighting icon_rolleyes.gif

Also HSOF can invest up to 30% in foreign markets, so that when Bolehland equities seem expensive, the fund manager can divest abroad a bit. icon_idea.gif

EI Equity Income looks like a dividend fund to me that fully invested in KLCI.

KGF can achieve or mirror this also right?
