they're trying to poison you. First thing first, get the car and start driving without any of those mods. Here's my suggestions for you to take note, only start to add on accessories when you feels you wanna make some improvement, not blindly go forward with everything other people do

1) Depend on your luck. If your car came with stock Silverstone M3/M5 tyres, please trade it in immediately. Top up another 2/300 bucks get any tyres better than those flinstone tyres. 10/10 GaGa accidents without dangerous driving equipped with those crap


2) Air con compressor in GaGa is fucuking huge, can supply a 2 litre engine without problem. The problem is...

See those red color electric wire? As and when the compressor start working to cool down your cabin, it draws power from the battery, but the return path is too thin. As a result you will experience headlight dim when night time driving. Obvious power loss when aircon kick in.

With thicker grounding cable can supply a wide band of return path, so you can have a smoother ride. Frankly, this mod is NOT performance related, some claims after added grounding they've loss substantial of top speed, but hey! How often do we go 180kph? So, for me I'd prefer to have a smoother ride rather than the car suddenly loss power when aircon kicks in.

3) Voltage stabilizer can increase your voltage stability, just like your house having a spare tangki on the roof. When u use water extensively at the porch washing car, someone still can take a shower without interruption. So far I've tested the best is erictioh. Both my cars using his product.

hi guys, wanna ask something about servicing saga blm.
i have 2009/2010 BLM now doing 135k mileage.
today when went to the proton service center in kajang, the first 5min inspect the mechanic already said my engine got issue can hear small knocking sound coming from top cover of the engine. when i try to listen i cant hear it at all.
he mention that is the thingy below the camshaft looks like cups need cleaning. is that the valve? he said need half day to take out, cleaning, reinstall and start the engine again. the whole cost is slightly over RM600.he said new ones cost over rm1.3k. one more thing one of the spark park(one closest to the air filter) got slight damage compare to the other 3 spark park. is the price reasonable?

i usually sent my car for servicing there and back in feb, they somehow change new PIC. back in feb, sent in for minor servicing end up with RM3800 of servicing and replacing lots of shits. i really doubt this guy and wish sifu here can help give some thoughts.

its not overhaul cause he said only need to open the top engine cover and take out the valve and clean. the rest of engine remain untouched.

Some sharing on Fuel consumption. Before bought Saga SV CVT almost every friends and family said that car FC suck to the max. Did my thorough internet research, only conclusion is BLM generation is really dismay but FLX version onwards starting to improve, but no concrete figure to convince me.

Took a leap of faith and bought it. Now driven close to 3000km. Engine Oil Petronas Mach3 15-40W mineral.

100% city drive (live in ipoh, no highway to speak of LOL)
225psi front,220psi rear - 11.5kml to 11.8kml (abit bouncy, but bearable)
215psi front,205psi rear - 11.3kml to 11.6kml
210psi front,190psi rear - 11.0kml to 11.2kml (proton recommended, comfortable)

100% NS highway
225psi front,220psi rear - 16.0kml (abit scary above 140kmh, legal speed stable)
210psi front,210psi rear - 15.5kml (much more stable and comfort than above setting)

So far I am quite satisfied with the FC when compared to my previous daily driven benchmark car which is regarded as FC king by a lot uncle/aunty (and also most hated in the forum, hahaha) with exactly same driving route and behaviour return around 12.1-12.3kml for 100% city and 16.5kml for 100% highway. Sometime I don't even understand the bash towards saga's FC. wait till u see saga fl punya fc.

Wondering using lower viscosity Engine Oil(like 10-30W) will decrease FC further?   

anybody here ever change battery for their flx?some said when change battery for flx,need start the car while change to prevent ecu problem. but in preve thread,i heard forumer said it will cause problem when change battery while start the car. which one is better way to change?change while start engine or not? First and foremost in preparing your car for a battery change is ensuring that the battery isn't receiving any power from your engine. You may have found that your battery needs replacing after it failed to turn over, so your keys may still be in the ignition. If so, remove them. Without the keys, your car's electrical system shouldn't be active, which will reduce the chance of a spark or shock while you're changing your batter

and i buy car battery from my cousin spare part shop,it is a lot cheaper than car breakdown,and seek for help, and the price is a lot expensive.

as a new user just read that lubs and all will also effect fc and engine, currently on shell ron95
budget cz study and working 

slso face few problems:

knocking sound on low gear
scratching sound after accelerate at 80km/h or above
scratching sound coming from aircond
very shaky steering and noise coming from dashboard

    all these problems and to be exact I have driven it for 5 weeks with 3.7k milage after 2 service

I personally believe engine oil did very little effect to FC, partly because the engine compartment friction is so great that minor viscosity different is negligible after all. Unless your engine already posses these problems:

1) Loosen valve seat - engine oil leak into combustion chamber from engine head, that mixed up with A/F result in bad burning
2) Loosen pistong ring - engine oil being channeled into combustion chamber from crankshaft, that mixed up with A/F result in bad burning
3) PCV breather blocked - excess engine oil being stored on rocker head will leak into intake vale, that mixed up with A/F result in bad burning
4) PCV breather valve loosen - unable to block engine oil from staying on rocker head, excess engine oil being suck by intake manifold, that mixed up with A/F result in bad burning.

If your car's performance affected by engine oil, you need to get your car fixed because your car may be suffering from 1 of the above. I've been driving for many years, many kinds of cheap/expansive/racing grade/taxi grade engine oil I've used. The significant of an engine oil existed when you're in these conditions:
a) During engine cold, whether the oil has been freezed. Whether its sticky enough to stick on the metal surface to prevent your engine part from hard friction.
b) When you're driving in the afternoon + high heat. If you go 9000rpm, is your engine oil capable to sustain such heat without boiling. The hotter it gets, the watery it goes.
So, what kind of temperature you're driving on? Too cold? Or too hot?

There's also myth in the market saying some highly precised molecule engine oil can provide extreme lubrication that smoothen engine movement, the reduced friction will result in restore power output and increase fuel efficiency. I have absolutely no proof to say that's wrong. But then, what was the working temperature again? -20w50? You want high heat resistance, its going to freeze earlier. You want low freeze molecule, it wouldn't stand high heat. Simple as that.

Basically, if my opinion was the difference of engine output is totally negligible. If you read it correctly, the 1st test of Mobil 1 was the most weak engine oil, but I guess many of us also realize as the engine run hotter the performance started to increase. If the shop owner willing to do the whole test again with the reverse sequence of the engine oil, started with Nulon, then Purple follow by Motul, Castrol and finally end it with Mobil, I would take a safe bet the Mobil is going to generate 180kw instead of the Nulon.

I personal preference was this:

Too bad, I couldn't find this type of oil in Malaysia anymore. Reason for selecting this is because it's very affordable, and placebo effect pretty good. It used to be NASCAR official engine oil, so I felt the car more powerful after knowing that I'm sure it has nothing to do with the actual performance, it just I felt better You may still find some detail here

If the car already have problem, such as loosen piston ring, this is my preference:

Affordable price, very hard to burn. If your car is a white smoker, this is just the thing you looking for before you get to repair your engine.

Off engine to change battery, don't keep it running...don't think automotive/electrical/electronic engineers are so dumb that they didn't think about the ECU thingy when they design the system.

Example like your PC. Why after you turn off the power and unplug the socket. You start it back the date and time still the same? your lock screen password still the same? The car's ECU is like your PC's mother board....
