QUOTE(davidke20 @ May 1 2014, 12:51 PM) if you have a test kit that's the best lol.basically a swab/siphon to take samples, then using some basic kit you can determine the general acidic levels of the EO but yea, fluidity of the EO and maybe a peek within the engine cover/pouring hole would be a good start too. QUOTE(dares @ May 5 2014, 12:33 AM) it's like mistaken identity as i've told mengsuan before:you want to vroom vroom, or you want to save fuel? want both, pay money for something like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McLaren_P1 that's assuming you'll stay tame running on batteries only... i know i wouldn't. my new car proves how undisciplined i get with more power in my hands: http://www.fuelly.com/driver/quazacolt/inspira 7.4km/l vs http://www.fuelly.com/driver/quazacolt/saga 10.3km/l you'd think normally, with manual and much newer fuel injection tech, it'll be much better in the FC department... welp! |

QUOTE(davidke20 @ May 5 2014, 05:44 AM) Hated your "I told you so" guts. But I did told you, its the way you drive don't disagree at all, you are correct.although atm i'm trying to train myself to not rely on the system at all. basically the goal is to gain faster timing (during my night job sprints) while ensuring asc do not trigger at all) which is incredibly hard considering the tires, they just break off way too fast so yea i've completed tests/bench marking (as per the video i @ you as well lol) and will be moving on to get my car remap once again mainly on FC concerns. previously i got the car mapping reverted to stock as i'm curious on what it can do on stock and i still like the older MIVEC timings anyways. LKC definitely have my respect too, he went really far with his 4gseries, and coming from the same engine/category car, i know it's not easy at all to get fast with that car. for the most part i gave up on it (well, money is limited, and stuff for the inspira are insanely expensive, easily in multiplications when compared to the iswara) after all that said, once i sorted out most of my finances and get to fix my oil leaks (really bad oil sump gasket leaks lol), replace the brake pads/drive shaft, repair another rim, service the brake calipers (again, lol), i think we can see it on the smaller tracks (such as elite, maybe MIMC) again oh ya hope i customs don't tax my ass, i got greenstuff for the iswara (and yellow for the inspira) all in a single shipment all the way from UK 44% is >rm400 |

mengsuan
apologies for the "i told you so" bit, sorta felt i didn't have to directly reply you since we did had few long chats (post tt, and the time when it was only dares + me and you) still, david made me realize that it was in bad taste which i am thankful for. regardless sorry to hear about your engine issue. i am going through similar stages/process with the iswara myself and like you as i have a newer car (albeit we both went different paths as you stuck with turbo while i continued on my NA path) i can relate the difficulty as to still look back into the past and dwell on with it yes i get a LOT of people commenting that i should let go on the iswara, but i really couldn't entirely, it's what made me who i am today after hope to see it get restored and maybe someday we can see the persona on the road or even track |

QUOTE(ericmaxman @ May 5 2014, 12:01 PM) daresthis sums it up. and as per long discussion and insights from RCS, stiff is not necessarily good you may get the impression that it grips more, have more traction as the suspension pushes the tire to the ground more, however it will break off earlier as the traction/grip limit is always dependent on the tires, you just get it upfront, and then it falls off faster too. |

QUOTE(dares @ May 5 2014, 02:44 PM) Not that stiff is not good, stiff will make your tire reach limit sooner (other than uncomfortable), and front and rear should be balanced to your driving style. that pretty much sums it lo (along with david's sms)This is a stock car with stock springs from the factory. Anyway YAB davidke20 sms me the following » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « I think most of the instances it was the last factor (steering too fast), as it mostly happen in tight corners (think taman type corners), but then it happened once on cameron highland mountain roads as well....a little squeal from the rear.... well if it's fully stock car, it's either you adapt to the car, or you change the car to adapt to you (hence modding mah and i'm not sure how tibai your stock tires are, cc5 is well, cc5 la. almost every journey can hear squeals it's as if it's an everyday music for my car ady |

QUOTE(TitanRev @ May 7 2014, 01:33 PM) Oh......is you....har......takda kasi tau early kat sini.... eh a lot of people do la. however they aren't favored by most because they are only UHP while having almost same, if not even more expensive than extreme category tires Reason I want try RE002 is because no one seems to use them and plus I'm a budget racer not full time....so before go to SX2 mau try others then got budget go SX2 can know the difference... and there were comments that the sidewall is a bit soft. iinm madman20 was on that before he moved to sx2 |

also to note, bridgestone malaysia and singapore not very supportive on the motorsport community. officially malaysia don't even carry re-11 while singapore carries the older re-11 (current one is RE-11A)
pricing also another thing, the uhp re-002 is priced so close to extreme performance category :/ i actually called Bridgestone Singapore that other day as re-11 is one of my consideration among the ad08r, Dunlop Direzza ZII (i don't suppose bf goodrich available lol) http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/testDisplay.jsp?ttid=172 |

QUOTE(r3apers @ May 7 2014, 03:07 PM) i not sure about the compound yet but if i up car with 15" will pair with RE002/S001 (jika ada) rather thn RE11/RE11A RE002 is basically UHP, rival with yokohama's s drivebtw i'm bridgeston fans... since my ex-fish using RE030 without any problem juz tht noise louder.. haha RE11/RE11A is extreme category, rival with yokohama's AD08/AD08R notice that bridgestone and yokohama lineup are almost similar and they release new tires almost at the same time yes within Japan Bridgestone and Yokohama has been long arch rivals, overall bridgestone is ahead of yokohama especially in the international market, but it seems Yokohama is fighting back really hard especially with the recent aggressive PR on their ad08r. |

QUOTE(TitanRev @ May 7 2014, 04:21 PM) I already spoken with Alex about this at MIMC time attack but sometimes things need to experience ownself only can know truly...each person driving is different as Alex mentioned it. His advice is good but I still can try them out if I wanted to.....no harm right.... yeap definitely no harm trying, i merely @'d you because there are a LOT of people who uses re002, and i also pointed why other people (who don't use them) stay away from them (mainly pricing)still it depends on driver and his/her skill......and I'm the only one crazily enough to track and time attack with parada.... perhaps my sentence/wording wasn't clear enough |
