Hi Guys.

Finally I found the Zippo lovers. I had a couple of limited editions and rare Zippo that i'd collected over the years. I'm current looking for a new owner that can appreciate them.

1. 65th Anniversary Commemorative Zippo (1997)
Special anniversary limited with special bottom stamp.
13 years old, never been used.
Comes complete with original tin-box.

2. Our Century (2000)
Limited to only 150,000 world wide.
11 years old, never been used.
Comes complete with original tin-box.

3. Rare Harley Davidson Zippo (1993)
Used but still in excellent condition.
17 years old.
Comes with small tin-box with HD logo in front.

Note: The tin-boxes are rusted, as age takes its toll but the Zippos are all brand new looking.

my question is what is the difference between these two ? one is written as 'contents: light petroleum distillate' and another one is 'contents: synthetic isoparaffinic hydrocarbon'

both smell different.

googled around a bit, and one fella [ lost the weblinks 'cause i forgot to bookmark it ] sez that there are 4 types, namely A, B, C and D. anyone can explain what those are for? any difference in quality, or the nice sound it makes when you flick it open with any of those that got the A, B, C or D markings?

damn i like the Gudang Garam one as i can only inhale ori Gudang Garam 16's [ and Dji Sam su, both the thick - ended rolled ones and the Dji Sam Su Gold lol ]!

I believe the ABCD lettering you're referring to is the letter engraved at the bottom of the lighter. It's not the grade, but actually the month in which the lighter is manufactured.

It runs from A to L, A being January and L being December. You'll see it on the left side of the lighter's bottom. On the right side, there'll be two number, which is the last two digits of the year the lighter was made.

So if you see a Zippo with any alphabet after L, it's a fake.

anyway... if there is an answer...

I got a question about my lighter.

the lighter will not spark at all.
new flints were added but it only sparks at the beginning and no more sparks after breaking in...
I've heard people say pulling the spring adds a slight pressure and it will work but that's not true.
I've added an extra spring to give it more pressure instead of pulling the spring and that's one of the only way to get it to spark a tiny bit.
by doing that makes the flint wheel hard to turn and it's very annoying to try so hard just to get the wick catch flame.

I suspect the flint wheel causes the problem and not the flint as it is genuine flints from zippo. Plus,fresh wick was also added and primed with zippo genuine fluid but still it is very hard to get the lighter to spark

of course sending to zippo for warranty is painful because I duwanna watch my money fly to the wrong address as I can get them address wrong
