it can be done, although it might not be the best route. you might lose the colour that u wanted by introducing other colours.

tap water contains chlorine and chloramine and it will kill the fishes. therefore, the answer is no. you must either age your water or use anti-chlorine on the tap water before using on fishes.

Question 1 : How do you guys prepare the ketapang leaves?
Wash with tap water > Dry in Sun > Place dried leave in a water container for about 24 hours > pour water into tank ?

Question 2 : Is it a problem if the water in the betta tank is too dark yellow from the ketapang tea water?
*
normally i use the leaf straight after washing with tap water. just dump the leaf into the tank.

i have a betta sleeping in really really dark water for about 3 weeks now, so far no problem, except that i cant see the fish. haha..

i don't mean to disturb your sales but, there is no such thing as HM gene. There is no such gene which can guarantee 180deg claudal spread.

nola......If a female can open until 180degree also cannot gurantee the next gene will be 100% hm.....This fishes got hm gene that means it got % to get HM in the next gene....
*
i think by telling ppl that it's a HM female would suffice...

Oops.. sorry for the jargon. MG stands for Mustard Gas (blue or green body/yellow fins betta).
