thanks for the tips! however, I couldn't find it in their website. i'll try to contact them via email to ask about the availability.

EDIT: already found it in their website. Under Exclusives category, not CUUSOO. haha. But i'm not sure if RM380 is a fair price for the set. tongue.gif

A very good monday morning to all AFOLs,

I have a quick question, anyone here remember the previous version whereby there was a long and detailed discussion we had on the rechargeable batteries (on Eneloop if not mistaken).

You can save me a lot of trouble going thru the old versions ....  rclxub.gif

Thanks in advance  notworthy.gif  icon_rolleyes.gif

Hi AFOLS,

I have a question regarding buying from ebay.
At check out it stated i have to pay for import fee.
If the item exceed rm500 do i still have to pay custom fee or already included in import fee.
Confused...

The import duty is for our local customs, no need pay dy. I think la.. go find a seller that does not imposed import duty..

From my lay man understanding.

I purchased recently 2 items form eBay US and I was charged import fees. However the items are less then RM400.

As for the import charges, they are imposed by a company called Pitney Bowes. I dont know how they are linked to our government if you are imposed taxes. I think if you breach RM500, you will still be taxed regardless. This Pitney Bowes is a very grey area but they fees are also not cheap.

To me personally, the import charges is nonsense. Depands on luck if your parcel will get kacau by customs. But for peace of mind, pay a little higher and less hassle. Better check with your seller how this import charges works.

Have buy from a seller with import charges for item less then rm500.. to me its for 3rd party global shipping company to clear taxes (if kena tax) by local customs. USPS transfer the item to 3rd party for delivery instead of handling by USPS itself. Its take longer to arrive then usual in same cases. The longer period is cause of transfer of USPS to GLOBAL shipping.
I assume the global shipping company is like Fedex/DHL/UPS etcc where they will settle your custom tax and pass them to buyer during delivery or some sort....

Previously... Seller --> USPS --> Msia Postal

New... Seller --> USPS --> GLOBAL SHIPPING --> Msia Postal

Just checking, the tracking number given is separated into 2 stages with 2 difference tracking number like ..

1. from buyer to USPS received parcel then to 3rd party (1st tracking that can be track at usps website)

2. updated to new tracking number from 3rd party which is not in usps website..

How local custom define the price subjected for tax?
Total cost including shipping cost and import fee or just the value of the item?

Yeah. I got 2 tracking numbers and one is from USPS and another from a 3rd party. First stage was USPS then final stage its like mystery all missing, until appears at your door.

Tauhubusuk, from what I know its the total price ( item + shipping ). All my biking kaki when they buy stuff, they get the full tax including shipping costs. If you argue..hmmmmm........ so most of them prefer "sumbangan ikhlas".

yup same xperience here.. from usps then to MIA then magically appear. I msg the seller and ask status and seller refer me to the website called i-parcel that track the package but very slow updates and not real time. when i email i-parcel and check status, item suddenly appear in Msia for delivery.

lol.. paying import charges gave me more worries then not paying.
