i have issue of one screenshot only for a day...
then i factory reset it.. it was back to normal...
but battery life still the same....hardly pass 20hours now.

Depend on your usage... Xplore whtapps n games takes much of it live. Better put it on battery saver mode, to last longer.

I don't do games on my phone... Mainly whatsapp...

I think that toast notification that will turn onn the screen make that power drain

Try battery saver mode.. And see if It make any difference in battery life span. To reach more thn 12 hours whn using internet apps.. Is really hard.

its just too bad we cant test "Hey Cortana, what song is this?" in Malaysia, or else we can give it a try.

Few things to check if your phone is having battery power drain problem.

1)disable Cortana (Remove pinned too)
2)disable all unused apps from battery sense
3)disable nfc/double tap wakeup/Bluetooth/Hey Cortana
4)disable motion data collection (places visited)
5)change email sync to 2hours
6)change brightness to auto/low
7)disable glance screen if you have it

when things gets better you can start enabling 1 by 1, sometimes the location is also the problem if constant having LTE/3G on, my friends Lumia 1520 always runs hot when his at home with LTE on, found out the issue is his at the border of the coverage for U Mobile LTE, when we always meet up for drinking session or any other activity his phone goes back to normal temp and the battery drain stops... so now when his home he turn of data, change back to 2G, turn on wifi.

It says "Cant get internet now make sure you are connected to the internet" , this error shows that's its not supported afaik.

Note: Cortana and Music ID are region restricted, mostly to the US and a few other locations. If you do not see the icon described in this article, then you are probably in a non-supported region.

Reset your device if the error is about no internet although connected. Cortana will work when you've set your device to English...

hmm it is in English, after checking I think the billing country has to be under US. my Microsoft account has 3 profile so its going to be complicated.

my phone can last me at least 16 hours with data on 24/7 and call coming in from 10am til 7pm..whtasapp chat notification alot coz work related...and not forgetting email also keeps cooming in with as arrive notification

Yup.. Normal like that. Some game not fully optimize for Lumia n some game require high resource..try candy crush, if not hot after 30min. Your phone is good.

Depends on what your definition of 2D game is haha. Most are actually 3D but put in 2D overlay. In fact these so called 2D games heat up more than some good well optimised 3D games.

I won't say not fully optimize for Lumia, but not optimized for Windows Phone in general. Weirdly simple games like Candy Crush, Frozen Free fall heats up the phone quite badly.

I would say Lumia 1520 don't really heat up as much as my old Lumia 920 while gaming, maybe because its running at full throttle lol, But its ok Lumia mostly cool down very quickly.
