I use Cortana a lot while driving, like calling/text/take note of something, even navigate home with Here Drive+ "Hey Cortana" + "Take me home" (While my phone is attached to the windscreen holder)

Its abit difficult for the phone to hear "Hey Cortana" from far, it works better if you speak it nearby or loud. So I just use my Microsoft Band to talk to Cortana most of the time while my hands is on the steering wheel, a much better mic receiver haha.

Fuihh, nice set of gadgets. Hahaha my Cortana is like my girlfriend: always pretending she never heard me. laugh.gif

"Hey Cortana" is seriously less effective than "OK Google", but Cortana itself is useful nonetheless. No idea how to increase the sensitivity, always have trouble using "Hey Cortana"

Wow cool!!! How's comfortable is Microsoft Band? All reviews point to it being uncomfortable. sad.gif

Yes "Hey Cortana" is not as easy to use as "OK google" or "Hey Siri". Those 2 you can more easily call up, not having to worry bout how exactly you say it. On the other hand I do like that Cortana only responds to me hahaha. But if you have trouble with getting her to respond, I suggest retraining her. Speak loudly in the manner you would call her up in the most comfortable tone for you. I found that the tone is the most important thing, change it slightly & "Hey Cortana" won't work.

The Band is ok its quiet comfortable for me, but maybe it wont be for everyone? some people have big wrist bone the part that pokes out? I do always wear it during sleep time. (Only times that's not Hot which makes me go sweaty)

Hey guys, just bought a used but mint condition 1520. Coming from the 925, I must say that this phone is on another level. So far, I'm pretty happy with the switch.

Unfortunately, the phantom touche issue is here but it doesn't detract from the whole user experience.

Android's Ok Google can works on almost any phone as long as you installed Google Now Launcher

btw, Malaysia variant Lumia 1520 has built in wireless charging or need to use a cover? im planning to get a 1520

Because Microsoft used a function only available in Snapdragon 800 chipset. This allows "Hey Cortana" to work even if phone is locked, asleep & use almost no extra power doing so.

"OK Google" works well but unfortunately is a power hog. I switched back to normal launcher on my Nexus 7 2012.

"Hey Siri" needs your phone to be charging for it to work.
