maybe dont play all class, but i can say barb is gear dependant too. been playing barb for 300 +hours, so far MoTE is the best that can do T6 solo and group play comfortably. hell blizzard even nerf our leap build, to gain a smooth flow resource is now an issue for barb, but still MoTE is the way to go, just need to tweak the build a bit.

Also heard after the patch, sader are more balanced has a diversity build to play with. Unlike barb, MoTE are still fav from among all build which reluctantly force us to play and collect fire leap items.

Not really.

Here's the thing, let me run you down real quick.

2.0.4 mashieldgun and AC + BOP was the end game shit. They can clear whatever shit u shat on them. I was running shotgun and did pretty well as well. Hell I thought that was crusader's salvation then.

2.0.5 nerf to mashieldgun, nerf to AC + BOP (make it totally not viable, over nerf imo). Buff shotgun back to previous damage.

That is like 2 main builds, 1 sub-par to that sub-par become main and that 2 becomes sub-par.

They can't just have a balance between those builds for example, minor nerf to rally and mashieldgun, but buff shotgun, fire, lightning, 30% reduction.

Fire is fun though, something I used to say "Fire is fun on T1/2 but that's that" doesn't work like that anymore. In fact I'm running a fire mashildgun build, when I'm lazy to manage wrath. It's not bad.

managed to find my akkhan pants with decent stats finally..

only akkhan gear i need to fix now is my gloves for cdr and my set is complete. I also need to change my witching hour belt to have 1 defensive stat included, which would be either vit, ares or life%


at that point i can then farm for perfect gear with the secondary stats such as......

health globes, max wrath, reduce rng/melee dmg ....




i did some testing for end game crusader gear for shotgun build ..... i've noticed somethings regarding how to achieve 400k hp, 400+ chd, 600+ all res.....

i'll post about that later when i'm free

Please give some commend for upgrade. I found wrath is not enough and too easy to die. I think 400K+HP is not enough for T6.

yeah i was going to use my example to illustrate what stats you need for hf shotgun build.

becauz a few people ask me look at their gear for recommendation, but everyone has a different current requirement to get the most of what they have now.

so to make people think for themselves how to achieve that, i need to set the goal they should aim for, so they got a base of what it is they need.



but having a glimpse of yours i see condemn. personally i don't think you should change those in case later condemn is fixed back to it's former glory. so find a different akkhan to modify to have the heavens fury modifier ;x


that shield is useless unless you have block with it. it only aborb on block... so if block chance low then forget about it your better off iron skin.


glove need cdr....


you need str in fotf....


belt change to either a harrington, witchin hour, or even a strop belt. heck, a string of ears would also be better.

you need chd in ammy

you need better rorg ;x add in cdr into it.... so either chc cdr or chd cdr your choice.


that leoric is pointless. use a unity or soj is better... make sure has cdr in it... with either chd or chc....




your shoulder and chest is good for condemn. so don't enchant it further, leave it as is, and find a different one for the hf build

boot and pant is fine for the set bonus. but later find replacement so got ares in it as well like mine.



aim for the following stats if you want to do t6 content with crusader....


400 hp ......

20k+ armor

600+ all res (iron skin and indestructible required)

400+ chd (without a witchin hour, you'd probably be around 300 ish if both your rings have no chd because your cdr)

50+ chc

40+ cdr (CDR in glove, shield, shoulder, both rings. Or optionally in amulet, weapon.)

A fell of the fate 2hander preferably 2.5k or better

5 piece akkhan set with rorg. Or 6 piece without rorg.


the dmg you'd be dealing would be like 30-60 m per beam consistently.


If you're soloing, i recommend using a Unity ring to replace either rorg or soj. Your follower also would have unity, thunderfury, wyald ring, dovu trap amy .......



NOTE: i'm para 600+ so i can get max paragorn stats for chd, chc and cdr ...... so my situation may not apply to most people who need to work more on gear to reach the stats i can get easily....... this is why people should farm paragorn so less gear requirements to hit the stats you need .....

Today playback my Crusader...get 2 pieces set of Akkhan (shoulder and pant)
Surprising, with 700k dps, I can survive at T4...but with the same dps of my Monk, only can go T2...

i found a game with hellskull in loot table, so i was rifting and gambling kadala.

probably good for condemn max dps, but i feel that Akarat's awakening is probably superior seeing as condemn skill cooldown reduction mechanism was changed

I have akarat's awakening and I found it kinda lack luster. In my testing the proc rate is too inconsistent to be viable use for t4 and above. Not to mention horrible rolls for a shield.

You gotta survive a lot of hits to see significant CD on your skills. Maybe more for tanker crusader with massive block rate and survivability.

2.0.5 where fire build become the most playable element for crusader

yeah very impressive. also whats scary is, his not even using optimized gear. I can imagine if he stacked falling sword on his gear..... shoulder, chest, shield.... 15+15+15 = 30% falling sword incr dmg = G_G:

As a long time maximus user, i'll say the chain dmg is crazy and best in 1 vs 1 situation. (and of course, AOE after the movement speed penalty removed)

I will probably steal maximus from enchantress for a test run lel

I actually acquired a maximus just when i hit 70 on my cru. sadly was going after flails so it went to the salvaging dept. Looks like I'm back to farming maximus. Just short on 1 Akkhan. The rest I'm pretty much covered to try out this build

hee hee Maximus was my best partner until I found GryFalcon, but I still keep it in my inventory, don't feels like salvage it. But anyway my Maximus wasn't the best although it has very good roll, coz that time I roll away secondary stat, so no socket for me
