My brothers' brother-in-law keep giving some hints here and there. Like Destini, OCK, literally too much to consider.

If have funds, will try hold some good shares. No funds, have to pray for luck lor.

Saw and did nothing. Monitor too many stock lately.

Malton, London, KNM... dont know which to enter.

Ah.... I know how it feels.

To overcome this, for me, last time, when I was doing fake trading,
I would write down the stocks that I like...
and I would write down the what ifs...

for example... if A moves past 70, then....
or if B moves down 2 sen, then....

I get mentally prepared....

It does help a lot.

However, for me, I discovered that active trading is not for me.
I am much better player trading over the months.
Be more selective and be more patient and once find target, shoot like hell.
That suited me.
Just sharing la.
Might not work for you.

Dude, trust me, too much fund does not help.
It only makes you more reckless in the long run. wink.gif

Not enough funds is not an handicap.

Fake trading? I did that quite a lot. I think it was effective because no money is involved.

I asked my brother countless time to buy DiGi from 23-33 but he would not listen. I also ask him to buy Hartalega @7.80 before first split. I asked him to buy Tenaga near RM5.xx

Personally, the shares that I like takes very long time and I get impatient at times. I did bought KLK (got some funds before marriage) at 9.xx but after 2months without action, I sold. After that I bought Hartalega at 7.80 and it also stay there for a month or two but sold it as well. After my marriage, depleted all my savings and the two sons that follow did not help as birth complication rob me of my yearly bonuses. I only get some funds to play with after tio 15k 4D. Saved 5k for each son and whatever left just use to trade lor.

I took my fake trading very seriously. nod.gif

Nowadays, people refuse to do this.
They say waste of time.
They rather try with real money.
When they lose they call it tuition fees. whistling.gif
And they come up with the dumbest conclusion that to succeed in the stock market, is ok to pay lots of tuition fees.
I guess they must be all rich man son.
Money must be easy.

Sometimes hor play on paper different than play with real money....

When I am playing with stock simulator with virtual money to learn the ropes easy to buy/sell happy happy go lucky. Decision to buy sell can consider on the spot one..easy only... nod.gif

Then when come to real thing playing with money that is accumulated on many years of salary, have to consider 101 things before buy sell. Want to buy or sell have to think and consider many many times especially with large amount involved. sweat.gif

From fearless-gung-ho trading in simulation to scared-like-shit in real trading, it is not the same. laugh.gif

Well I used no stock simulator.
Most done in 555 books. whistling.gif

Like I said, you must be really serious about fake trading. smile.gif

And yes, you are correct.
Fake trading can also be turned into a total waste of time when abused. whistling.gif

I have to agree with this.

Not say simulation trading are useless, but when emotions such as greed , fear and try calm involved is totally

different. How one confidence with buying or selling only can be reflected through real money.

I do the old fashioned way, exercise books leftover from many years ago. tongue.gif

I do keep track of my paper trading and yes, I'm still searching my path to make sense of everything.

So, I want to climb mountain liao, anyone can point me direction?

Like I said I took my fake trading really seriously and I spent many years doing it. whistling.gif

I had to pass the goals I set before I allowed myself to play in the real market.
I had to pass certain marks, certain goals.
I had to be damn sure.

Emotions?

never a problem for me.
once I passed my goals, emotions was never an issue.

Play with real money right off?
Ask you this : How many people you know got burned cow-cow in the share market? whistling.gif

i agree with gark statement that paper trading bring less emotion into play.

for the past few years i read newspaper/edge. then i circle the stock which got potential.... but that time know nothing about FA and TA yet, but looking at the past and during the crisis, i predict which company is able to recover faster. and guess what? most stock did went up during that bull run. that is opportunity cost shakehead.gif

now bull session coming... i guess its ok to play. just let it go 1st before anything happens

burned 99? my dad lor

lol, burn 99 got only one reason. you go into the market because you Fear you cannnot untung while everyone is untung-ing. the fish pond is so big and you thought you would be stupid if you dont go in.

in the end of the day, there is only one reason for us to go into the market - dont lose money, not always untung lol.
