Somethings to note on this FC:
- Car already have it's ECU remapped to take advantage to RON95 fuel (as opposed to stock RON88), with improved AFR and better MIVEC timings for efficiency.
- RPM is between 1500-2500
- speed is between 70-90kph
- the FC meter is reset from Melaka lebuh AMJ connecting north south highway toll entry, then tracked all the way to Seremban highway toll exit at Kuala Lumpur for about 90-110km.
- the 0-30 numbers are NOT vacuum gauge, the moment you just reset it while not applying throttle, it will be showing absurd figures like 30km/L
- i will further highlight the meter is an average figure on the next picture. In a nutshell, the moving bar is based on your throttle application calculated with engine load, and it *may* have calculation with fuel pumping as well as the km/l figures will drop while your car is stand-still idling.
- considering my slow speed, i am pretty much sitting on the furthest left/slowest lane; Which mean i will be driving along side with huge trucks/lorries.
- majority of my journey, i was slip streaming/drafting a huge Petron fuel tanker heading all the way to KL exiting the same toll exit i was headed to.
- Brakes were almost never applied, only needed to gauge the traffic in front and lift off throttle which also means less fuel wasted, and more fuel savings from not applying throttle.
- air cond is permanently on as per normal driving
- Traffic is clear throughout the entire highway measurement. (as per previous, from the top of my head i only remembered lightly braking once or twice at most)
- throughout the entire journey the car was in 5th gear.

Why this is impractical:
- the meter is only an average figure and not real time. for accurate FC gauging, use dedicated apps or websites such as http://www.fuelly.com/
- stock ECU mapping shouldn't be able to achieve this. while i have not done an exact comparison with the exact same driving method, previous light footed driving on highway only yielded 13.8km/L at best iinm.
- Very stressful driving. in between Non-stop feathering/lifting off the throttle and monitoring your fc meter, you also have to gauge very far ahead to anticipate traffic not to mention staying behind a huge petrol tanker makes it all the more difficult.
- slip streaming/drafting huge vehicles is a risk by itself. having difficulty to anticipate traffic a head due to limited vision, you also have to deal with a lot of random debris/stone coming off from their huge tires. Worst case scenario your chances of having them crashing against you is much higher as you're constantly surrounded by huge vehicles.
- having a decently done NVH (despite being a stock car, props to Proton/Mitsubishi) and being a rather huge sized C segment sedan, driving at that kinda speed can be VERY boring and you have to constantly fight off drowsiness all the time. Thankfully i was alone in the car and i just karaoke'd throughout the songs being played.
- Kill la Kill OST being played adds 50horse power which is cheating in FC measurements. (google/youtube if you're unfamiliar lol)

This the FC meter taken after i reach my home, which is around 30-50km from the toll exit i took the previous picture.

15km/L after i floor the throttle frequently and having a lot of hard braking? definitely not accurate in the sense that it is only an average figure**. the figure is ultimately an averaged out FC and my majority of the journey (after the reset) is on a highway with impractical FC saving measures.

On normal situation without meter reset, with the same driving method i'd yield between 7-10km/L on the same meter.

Why i hate the continental Comfort contact 5:
- performs like total horseshit
- aquaplanes like crazy despite having 4 water channeling deep grooves
- tire wears down VERY fast
- expensive not even taking into factor of it's stupid wear rate

the only saving grace? it's pretty decent NVH, and it came with the car "free".
might as well finish it and be done with it.
