i see, thanks! i didnt know the hakama set changes his stance haha. i need to check more on hats features next time tongue.gif

best support hero? depends on the enemy team and your team playstyle. if you want to support your carry until he goes online, abaddon is one of the bes to make sure ur carry doesnt die. if you want to be a spaceman (create space), get ganking heroes like nyx, vs etc.

IMO
>watch pro player streams
>mimic their items and decision making
>form your own style from it

you'll need huge understding of doto to perform this well, and not many can do it well.

thanks for the advise! still try to improve from time to time. still new to support too. but man.. it takes a lot of hardwork and decision making lol sweat.gif

dont play CM in pubs. needs a lot of coordination from teammates and super positioning.
play 'easier' supports like lion, shadow shaman, etc. or tankier supports like orge tongue.gif

ah yes. i also pick support hero based on what kind of enemy and my team heroes. if my team needs mana a lot. im usually go for CM. like ember, invoker etc. and if my team got stun hero and got enemy like LC. i go for dazzle. i play lich as well. but depends on enemy too. especially enemy like CK, naga, mirana, luna, meepo. i go for lich (even before update lol). but yeah.. still improving my gameplay in every single match. try not to die a lot T_T doh.gif

Off the top off my head, the following comes to mind:
1. Ward by the clock. Learn to recognize the times when wards expire and are available for purchase.
2. Adjust your ward positions accordingly. As you take more towers, you can afford more aggressive wards. The idea is to control as much of the map as possible, denying your enemy space to farm. Creative warding also helps avoid ward wars, which are generally a waste of time and gold. In the event of an enemy player who's particularly aggressive at warding, it's a good idea to ward under the cover of smoke.
3. Dual supports are the best because they can share the cost of consumables. The more item-dependent support (4th position) should pick up/upgrade the courier as well as get smoke. This allows him to move on to his core items sooner. The less item-dependent support (5th position) can spend gold on observers/sentries/dust.
4. If you're forced to support alone, focus on observers first. Don't bother dewarding unless it's absolutely necessary. A solo support doesn't have the income to get into a ward war. Having more carries on your team means you only need to provide the necessary vision so they can farm up their items.
5. Gank/pull consistently. Being missing from the map means the enemy players have to play it safe, impeding their farm. Time your ganks every 2 minutes, to coincide with rune spawns. A favorable rune can be the difference between a successful and an unsuccessful gank. Unsuccessful ganks are a waste of exp and gold, so decide beforehand whether a rotation will be worth it.
6. Pick up items that benefit the team. Meka/Pipe/FS/Arc/Vlads/Urn are all excellent items. So are Necro/Medallion/Veil. The former are defensive sustain items, while the latter are offensive. Adjust your item choice depending on what your hero/team needs.
7. Communicate with your team regarding item choices. Double Mek/Pipe etc. on a single team is a waste of gold. Multiple Arcs/Necros can be useful, depending on your lineup.
8. If you're playing a squishy support against high-DPS heroes (Naix/Alc/Viper etc.), Ghost/Eul is your friend.
9. Positioning is important. Don't take bad wars. Solo TP-ing into a team of 5 enemies pushing your tower is suicide. So is fighting uphill without vision, or around massive blind spots.
10. Avoid TP-ing to a lane from base. Keep your scroll so that you can TP to help an ally in case of a tower dive.

I disagree. In fact, most players recommend going CM if you're teamed with 4 carries, as she has very good early game impact if played well. Good harass potential, aura benefits the entire team, and her nukes deal a shit ton of damage at levels 1-5.

nice advice rclxms.gif also cm can initiate better since she has a slow skill to catch up enemy and provide lots of mana regen to ur team

sidenote: DK vs iG and VG today thoughts on how will they perform for the new patch?

seen too many CM with lousy positioning walking in randomly to cast nova and ult rclxub.gif
in such cases they are only useful to put up wards and their aura..

but i do agree that a good CM player will put a lot of stress onto enemy players, and also because of her capability to find farm in jungle.

for aggressive supports I usually go for Lion or Shaman.. Like them both rclxms.gif

Good support guide. I like. biggrin.gif

I once face a CM with god-tier skills. Having more kills than a carry, perfect going in time, good support, and majorly a PITA.

can't thank you enough. and yes CM is my core support hero at the moment. and yes.. i often support the team alone. sometimes feel a bit burden as i need to do so many things in 1 time D: ward, urn, meka, (arcane if not playing cm), pipe etc. and i often buying eul. not to eul myself. but to eul the most painful/support(like annoying disruptor) lol. for example there is core carry like pa, drow, naix etc. i eul them so that my team can focus on the weaker enemy. idk if this is a good choice or good solution to take less damage or to increase percentage of winning during the war. but yeah.. i often use eul to disable enemy. sad.gif

CM is very strong early game, but if you reach late, better hope you have proper late carry or enough farm.
CM always falls out in late game and dies to 2 spells, unless she has farm (which is so rare)
If you see a late lineup, best to gank and create space for carry.

Personally, I prefer to let someone else get Mek/Pipe if possible. CM's almost always the first target because she's so darn squishy and her disable is annoying.

If you're confident with your positioning or you have someone else to take the damage for you, go for a mobility build. It works wonders against melee/short ranged carries.

when i play cm, i will ask other farker to go support to get core support item like meka normally. those need to use in war one. then i will list i will get the courier and ward before game start.

cause normally when people see i choose that, not really sure they go full retard or what. get those hit or miss skill type hero or similar retard hero... which they can't handle well...

in middle of the game i normally leave lane like level 3-4 to roaming around without boot. :I
then i will ask other people get ward if i dont have boot around 4-6 level.....

so if in 20 minutes mark we are in loser side, GG.
