yeah his fact and mechanic are doubtful, but hearing him cast was a lot of fun especially with fast action game.. unfortunately he didn't cast a lot of SEA tourney, mostly the SEA tourney and China goes to the BTS. nod.gif
*
or Dotatalk

But tobi overrated. Still can cast but too edgy and overpowering in casting.
He starting to be like the old Ayesee, drowning out his analyst (draskyl that time) and really made it uncomfortable for others.
Even I start to notice this in his casts. Very "liberally-scripted". Alot of smack and non-dota related stuff discussed.

BTS still preferred. LD and Lumi especially.
Even valve trusts them for 2 straight years

i prefer bts tbh, and i like them inviting players to co cast with them
coz players tend to give their insight..very informative for the viewers

Started with BTS always having WinteR in the casting seat.
Then it got trendy to have guest pro players in every game.

My only issue is Lumi not joining BTS, you damn chinese.
But he went with 2GD, so okay la. As long I see him in ti4 with LD again.

Currently only BTS is the most active compared to other streaming groups... I hardly hear 2GD's group doing any casting other than their own league. Tobiwan is casting less as well or maybe not doing Asian scene.

So BTS does a very good job in casting. Not easy to be a caster eh... Long hours of talking and sitting in front of the computer.. Cant do that man.
*
BTS is pretty global already, thats why its active.
> lysander for odd hours in NA, normal hours here in SEA
> combo lysander / anyone else awake at godly hours in NA
> LD/Godz/Merlini/Zyori anytime/most of the time with kpop
> 1 caster + 1 guest player for any game

With that many combos, literally possible cover all games.
But time and health issues restrict them and takes into affect later lol.
Last night was Godz and WinteR. Sad or good to say, I really like winter as analyst so pls give up your pro player career biggrin.gif
Fun to listen too. Winter literally grew up with BTS during kickstarter days.

2GD has their own league and GD show to run, tho its not active, so I'm guessing other PR jobs he has.
Same for bruno (degree in IT).
But expect these 2 name in the future, they are rumored to be in talks for all future leagues to be under one roof.

Tobi is banked 100%, like BTS, on dota casting career, but one man show.
IYDK, joindota was competing to get the Starladder coverage for english broadcast.
Well, BTS got it in the end, and tobi got pretty pissed.
Cuz theres no way he alone can cast all those region qualifier games (China, Korea, NA, EU).

This is why he recently expanded his joindota cast team, with Capitalist as another full timer.
And Soe joining in PR stuff (see their joindota YT. Its like every bloody studio needs to have a news/fun segment episode)

Its a potential booming business. If I have the money, I would invest in one of those studios and expand it further. There are still lots to expand. It may become a full fledged gaming channel in the future with talk shows, news, interview coverage etc etc... LOL...
*
Lol. if this was 2 years (or even 1 year ago) I would encourage you to invest everything.
Seriously, one of the fastest growing esports games in the current industry. Not even starcraft or cs go can reach this lvl that fast, and they're been around forever.

Now, its reaching the saturation (peak) point.
Too many tourneys, too many games, too many prizepools; no time for anything.
Investing now is really iffy, cuz we may see a downfall of dota2 after ti4, and all the tourneys end up clashing or shut down completely (mlg)

tldr; next few months will determine Dota2 as olympic class game or end up in starcraft redundancy (minus the koreans lol).

out of the combinations of casters..the one i don't like the most is lily + pimpmuckl. sounds pretty lame to me
*
Hehe, dotatalk ok la. I think they aussie + sea but still cover alot of pro/amateur tourney that are too small for BTS/joindota.
Otherwise how will these tourney get exposure.

Might be working with them on a possible local tourney too, so they're necessary. Like Sheever Gaming lol.

Pretty sure the cause was iG winning ti2 and new sponsor/team, Newbee.
>iG won ti2
>chinese doto best doto
>pressured to perform again at ti3
>didnt do very well (or as they expected)
>fall into improvement cycle
>newbee sows discord, buys players like vegetables at market
>players leave for good money, disappointment in teams.
>etc

feels like chinese scene very disorganized now, not sure who or what players/teams what to do now.
dont feel any of them deserve invites edi, exception for dk and other "stable, no roster changes" teams

When LGD.Int disbanded, they did discuss the major issues plaguing the Chinese scene, and almost everything boils down to the overmanagement by the government body assigned to monitoring e-sports. Although contracts mainly benefit the players in the form of offering some sense of job security, they also cause players who have fallen out of favor with their team to be benched, left doing nothing until their contract expires. The lack of practice against foreign teams is another factor, and once again it's caused by the rules set down by the governing body.
*
Ah yes, forgot about that WPC contractual relationship.
Quite true, contracts has their pros and cons, but for future of dota, hard to say these contracts actually providing benefits when left to rot.

Kinda like football manager edi haha

Items cannot be labelled "competitive" la. They are items to be used in-game depending on situations.
There is no "Item Bans", only heroes la.
