60': 3.11 sec @ 39.0 km/h
330': 7.68 sec @ 80.8 km/h
1/8 mi: 11.50 sec @ 104.0 km/h
1000': 14.79 sec @ 119.1 km/h

I put in these figures into an Excel to calculate the horsepower. For aerodynamic drag, I assume Exora Bold has coefficient drag of 0.33 & frontal area of 27 square feet. Vehicle weight + my weight = 1555kg.

Peak HP is 111.76. Assuming 18% power loss at transmission, engine hp would be about 136.29hp, within Proton's spec of 138hp, if u take 2-3% calculation error margin.

PS : Sorry no torque values as I cannot log RPM, and no dyno test as I'm on tight budget this month

Proton made a lot of effort to spice up the spec sheet and they decided to offer features that are only found in vehicles that are a lot more expensive than the Exora. The key engineering leap that they took was the use of CAN-BUS wiring for the body-control function.

Basically, what this means is that many of the comfort, convenience and security functions of the car is run by a central processor. With more processing power, they could pack a lot more features into the Exora. Features such as the programmable remote locking system, hazard flashing during emergency braking, lane change mode of the turn indicator and auto rear wiper on reverse.

I know these are not ground breaking features but you don’t get them in the two named competitors, do you?

The truth is CAN-BUS wiring is a complicated affair and can cause a lot of problems with a car so Proton implemented it separately from other crucial functions. In more expensive cars, the can bus would run everything from engine management to traction control to the airbag trigger system. This is obviously the best way to maximise the processing power of the electronics but it also means that if the CAN-BUS goes on the blitz, nothing works.

By allowing the engine to run on its own processor and letting the airbag and ABS to operate independently, any fault with the CAN-BUS would only affect the comfort and convenience features and not cripple the engine.

Proton said they saved nearly two kilogrammes of wiring by using CAN BUS. less wiring means less complication and less assembly time and lower costs.

So far my standard EB only give me only small issues.
My FC avearage 9.8~10litre/100km, which is normal
Im light footer driver, yet EB quite hard to maintain below 2k RPM

Yesterday took my EB 20k service
Told em to reflash ECU if have new version, yet they unable to do so as they still in process renewing their yearly software license (need to come back next month) + other standard service, total price RM345.

They told me they reset my car setting.
Now applying speed <60km/h under 2kRPM much more easier
So far so good but feel car a bit "low timing" which i assume causing my EB idle below 1k RPM compare to last time.

OBD2 is amazing. Have another unit with CD unopened if anyone interested. Tucks away from view and does not obstruct the leg.

I have no first hand experience of OWV problem, even though I've seen other videos and couldn't tell what's wrong. Google for "Exora Overcrank" and you'll find them.
Is yours cold start or warm start? Did your kind assistant wait for the fuel pump or the ABS light to stop before turning the ignition?

Proton exora got 3 years warranty or 100,000KM (whichever comes first).
The first service does not cover anything,you need to pay for the oil and I'm not sure about labour.My eb already 17K,
My eb got cvt warning light once but till now never send to SC,my bro check the car with OBD2 and he found that got no error.So i dont know why the cvt light came on,will complain when send to service at 21K.

EDIT:
Spark Plug for Exora CFE RM400 1set(4 piece).i heard that CFE using high performance spark plugs,that why expensive.it uses IRIDIUM spark plugs from HKS if I'm right,that's what I heard.

If I'm not mistaken, one of our fellow members had the standard model and painted their door handles too.

Hey guys, I need some help. I'm confused with the service intervals for the EB.

My questions are,
1. Can the engine oil change at 6027km be done at any workshop? Or must go back to Proton SC for change?
you are not supposed to do any services outside other than proton services centre. We never know outside oil is genuine or apek ciplak one. But if you did who know. 
2. Should I follow the service booklet's 10,000km/6month service interval? Or should I follow the one printed on my 1000km service receipt (11027km/21stJuly2014)?

I did mine in Acc shop using H1 Pentair glass foglamp however the contact was not so good thru the lamp socket = my right hand side lamp off when I turn the switch..
the guy using ABS fuse to turn on the light..luckily I check back and switch to rear fog lmp fuse.
however this need me to clean up their messy work later and replace the socket or repair the socket..as im lazy to go back to the acc
may be next time I must DIY everything by myself   

Coz it connect the wiring to dashboard indicator which basically need to study first or get diagram from P1 engineer@factory staff..ive even try it too but in the end i blame the secondary oem switch n incomplete wiring on the basic eb which showing improper link connection to the fglmp..but very nice using ccfl on your eb

My guess you need the wiring from the center console switch, to the driver fusebox, or BCM module, and finally to the foglight?
How to open the center console to check the wiring?

Noted. as 4 me I put additional relay and made direct contact to battery terminal as for the switch one cable is going thru the main hole from engine bay to cabin (connect the cable to the switch & the output cable connect to the fuse 10A "rear fglmp"). Of course i have to cut a rubber to make a hole for the cable going thru inside. Next i have to find black hose casing at electrical shop to cover all of the wiring.
