And so, my beloved 2yrs+ 1020 died yesterday. "Unable to find a bootable option" error during phone boot. I've tried all sorts of methods, even followed xda's recovery steps (downloaded the firmware, etc), dead flash method.. on both win 8 and xp, not to avail. Sigh, sending to nokia service centre soon. Hope can revive, or else, just another paper weight.

Gd mrng, guys. Where is the best place to send our L1020 for service? Can those Microsoft Stores accept phones for services eg. in KLCC or Sunway Pyramid?
My L1020 has died for more than ½year already, trying to revive it once in a while but no luck. Tried all those flashing method but no luck. I strongly believe it's the motherboard or the rom/hardisk.

QUOTE(mudster @ Jul 7 2015, 11:52 AM) I only know of 1 Microsoft/Nokia Service centres in Malaysia. It's in Amcorp Mall - Office Tower. You can't send your phone to any of the Microsoft Stores for servicing. Those are only retail outlets. Ok thanks. Called them just now, basically they said it's the board, and it will costs rm500++ alone (excluding other faulty parts if found) and doesn't include any warranty at all. She politely suggested to get a new phone, at least a new phone has a new warranty. No point spending rm500++ for a non-warranty service/repair board. If the newly repaired phone stops working the moment I walk out of the shop, there goes 500++ Haiishh.. baru 1year+ guna.. dah rosak..
