not many knows abt the Gen2 as most of them has this sceptism that this is a lousy car just becoz they heard from frens and relative...

do justice to this car, go try it out and you'll know abt the car itself... Nothing in this world is perfect...

As for the plug cable, will only try out if given a free demo on my car... But then, normally, the price would suggest itz quality, no?

Agree with u all the way, bro! I was initially cautious about going for the Gen2 after selling off my BMW (i was consideirng a Kia Rio also) but then thought about the car itself... A Gen2 will cost less in gasoline and also, spare part availability is much wider than a Kia (also cheaper!)... Not forgettign the market value also (at the time, where got NAP?)... So my mind was made up and in came a Gen2... No major regrets getting this car, and its been two years... So fast! biggrin.gif

Eng98: yups, i have to agree regarding the blind spot... Our car's mirror has this funny design that makes it triangular at the other end, resulting in a major blind spot problem... But no worries, i have stuck two blind spot mirrors (one on each) and voila, problem 99% solved! thumbup.gif

I too face alot of restriction when I was abt to get the car and many critics after I collected my car. However, I keep my finger cross that my baby will do me proud and it did meet up to my expectation and even exceeded some till this date. Those "critics" now kept their mouth shut

thus, i think the Gen2 is something we must judge ourself and not based on hearsay.... and i've been defending every criticism abt Gen2 whether offline or online... Coz I know and experienced the car from the driver seat... hehehe

In short: GEN 2 ROCKS!!!!!!!!!

Hey, i'm with u too, bro... The Gen2 is my numero uno car all the way... Wonderful car to drive and play around with, considering its a "Malaysian car"... Just like what u said, Gen2 really rocks KAU-KAU!!

Jason: unfortunately, that is so true... However, not just for Gen2 but also most other cars though...

bro, to say that the other cars oso need a blind spot mirrors, then itz not the Gen2 problem liao lor...

itz a universal problem where the design of cars in the early days which define the standard oredy has fault...

but then, nothing is perfect... biggrin.gif

shackks, i am hahf

regarding the plug, i would recomend you to use Iridium IT20. for cable, u can stick to ori cable as it wont bring any significant improvement.

i use autolite platinium before and now use IT20...cable previously use brisk tri-core and now r3 cable....

Well, its only natural... We humans are not like those animals with side vision (e.g. chickens, fish, elephants etc.) who can view sideways perfectly... The side mirrors exist to help us view oncoming cars properly but even these can't help our poor side views (due to our eye positioning at the front of our head)...

Thats y the blindspot mirror is indeed a welcome addition to any car driver... Helps in reducing these type of accidents (side knock due to blind spot) greatly! thumbup.gif

im using it20 2....bro any major difference from ur previous autolite platinum? but from my point of view every little thing u add im sure there is a significant difference....

bro from brisk tri core u change to r3 cables? any reason??

IMHO R3 is a scam.. have u guys seen their pricing?? their products are almost similar to most aftermarket stuff...

of course IT20, platinum was considered the best material to use on the top of an electrode because of its durability. However, Iridium is 6 times harder, 8 times stronger, and has a melting point 1200 degrees higher than platinum....quated from denso smile.gif

after transplant sure got good handleling if u change after market parts..hehe.. like the suspension, brakes, stiffen ur chasis etc...
dont expect the car to perform as it was when u add a heavier and more powerful enjine unless u upgrade other things...

knn drop in and of course large snorkel.. this will improve ur low end power... and u will notice intantly and enjoy it... anyway im really suspicious about the waja air box... are u active in G2C?? one of the performance guy used it for a while and he sold it really cheap with the after market air filter element included for only rm180 if im not mistaken... so i really dont know y... if it was good im sure people will stick to it...

bro got alot of people using HID... ask around in G2C...i guess here none..

o.. u mean ethanxxxx? my mechanic fren of mine said that waja campro is less laggy than our current 1 cz the route for the air is much shorter if compared wif our current 1.. i guess he misses the high torque feel.. actually the reason y our gen2 air box is designed the longer way is bcz it can hold air inside the route (said by a so called rally driver) then the engine will not b "shaky" o more stable.. laugh.gif

welcome in, hahf... nice to see another G2C member here. biggrin.gif Noted on your point and there's been many discussion on the cable which makes us more confuse. Since you've used and tested before, you know better and ur reviews are worth... hehehe

good handling relies on many factors and parts functioning in one as a system. I'm quite sceptical of the improvement of handling after a transplant provided that we dun touch anything on the shaft, strut and etc stuff... otherwise, I'm sure it'll be compromise. But then, the question is, "Izzit possible??"

this i agree... i'm now using the K&N drop in with a large snorkel(damn lucky to got them cheap). The pickup has improve and itz less "draggy" compared to stock intake... Enjoying every moment of it. It also minimise the rpm 2000-2500 drag on second/third gear.

I agree with wat has been mentioned, if u trace the intake ramp from the airbox to the TB, u can see a big bulge after the 90 degree turn of the air ramp to the throttle body from the air box. thatz where the "temp tank" is... remove that, and u'll feel the car pickup a drag. thatz cause pickup needs more air for combustion and thatz one thing which a stock intake cannot provide especially when our car is stationary and without the pressure...
