wow seriously, microtransaction in $60 SP game? I'm already annoyed with the microtransaction in previous games (even though only in MP) and was hoping for them to get rid of it. turns out they make it worse

It was in AC4 as Time Saver DLC. The rest don't have.

This game make AC3 looks...... good.

AC3 has microtransaction, but only in multiplayer.

need to see for myself how terrible is the microtransaction. steam version is unlocked tomorrow morning, but can only play at night

not just the microtransaction issue. from what I read in comm hub, some treasure chests can only be unlocked if you use the Companion app. more Ubi stuff

if that is not enough, turns out the review version has the microtransaction pricing is hidden and the Companion app is disabled

I can't comment much on the game since can only start playing tonight. However, microtransaction on $60 AAA game is not a good idea.

most of the complains only cover the performance and microtransactions. and I can't find any complain about the story yet (or I missed them).

can't wait to give this a try when I reach home later

oh god, some chest need to link your Uplay account to Initiates. and not just that, need to be on certain level to unlock it

and I found no way to increase the level other than owning previous games and link it to Initiates.

same here. only AC Revelation and AC3 got detected.

i've checked some of the microtransaction stuff. basically you're buying Helix credit using real money.

NOTE: at the time I posted, I can't connect to Ubisoft server to check the price for the Helix credit


what can you buy using Helix credit?
- buy weapons if you're low of in-game cash


-upgrade weapons. I haven't found the "currency" used for the upgrade so dunno how to get it.


-buy apparels ie hood, legs, armor


there's also Time Saver packs, but since I can't connect to Ubisoft server, so can't take screenshot of it.

now, gonna check how hard it is to gain money in this game.

about skill trees, basically divided into 4 sections

Melee, which for melee weapon master and need to unlock to use certain weapon class


Ranged, same as melee


Stealth (FOR GODDAMN SAKE, YOU NEED TO BUY DOUBLE ASSASSINATION NOW????!!!)



Health, for more health (duh) and sharing potion with your teammates


Unlocking skills require Sync Points and so far, no option to use Helix Credit to unlock skills.

First time introduced is black flag i think. I dont think got Innitiate before that. You can link your AC game from AC2 onwards.

f*cktard Ubi, if you want us to use the Companion, at least make the app working properly

just finished the initiation, already got so much love and hate about this game.

yup. keep crashing on my phone and PC(via Bluestack). now using it on laptop, so far no crash yet.

even so, the app doesn't work as it should. the chest that supposed to be unlocked using the app is still locked. some people managed to unlocked the chest by luck.

anybody want some freedom?
