but normally less people will go for 11" notebooks. the screen was so tiny, even reading a document can be pain in the ass.
*
i using it personally, the screen is actually 11.6", native resolution is 1366 by 768. no problem for normal daily use.

only will feel small when need to multi task, so i would say it is not primary laptop for all people

the only reason people buy 11" mba is becoz its tiny, light, yet still powerful to carry and travel around.

anyway, if upcoming mba kill the thick bazel in mba (feel about 2cm for me but didnt really measure it), they actually can fit a bigger screen at same form factor...

i "upgrade" from 2012 mba 13" to 2013 mba 11", never regret and never look back at all, heck sometimes i dont even know my laptop in my bag or not doh.gif

Yeah, can consider that one nod.gif
Or this:
Lenovo Flex 10, Celeron N2805 + Intel HD + (1366x768; touch)@RM1199, 2GB (soldered), 500GB, W8, Office Home & Student 2013, sleeve case
Otherwise look for the Surface RT (1)
10.1"
MS
Surface RT, Nvidia Tegra 3 + 32GB SSD + (1366x768; touch)@RM1099[680g]; WRT, 2GB
*
surface RT is not quite confident with it... coz need connect to normal printer and normal work task i not sure whether support or not...

i did consider lenovo flex 10, it seems have better built quality, but for sub RM1000 notebook, from benchmark, the processor N2805 (TDP=4W) is slower than celeron N2930 (TDP=8W), i not sure hows it translate in real life, but i affraid it will be quite slow...

even last year the sub rm1000 notebook i brought is processor celeron 1000M (TDP=35W), higher benchmark score than n2805 and n2930 i can feel the slowness already, i cant imagine how is the flex 10 or acer E3-111 compares to it...

but both Flex 10 and Acer E3-111 is fanless, after i brought either one i will test how it performs, anyway i think might will choose Acer E3-111 due to processor...

anyway Flex 10 now RRP is RM 999, you can update the price already price here

Personally I think for entry-level "net"books, the most important thing is still having extra RAM and an SSD for snappier performance  nod.gif
It doesn't matter what Processor the notebook has  hmm.gif
*
notebook with 4gb ram is ok liao...
SSD is overkill for sub rm 1000 laptop...

anyway will go buy later....

buy liao acer e3-111, very light to carry 1.3kg+ 150g adapter (mini type), comes with laptop sleeve, booting is in efi (i think), cold boot to windows screen is about 15-20 sec only (didnt measure but is pretty fast )...

lag a bit in multitasking (install multiple program together) but single task speed is ok... run 1080p youtube is ok also...

uninstalled some of the acer bloatware, clean up the start screen (removed all the weather/new etc. widgets), installed office / adobe reader and good to go... set leehom wallpaper/lockscreen/account picture because want give staff surprise... but duno how to change welcome screen background...

no fan is really quiet... but no keyboard light really not used to it esp when typing since i am two finger typer, but for staff to use it is okay liao....

1st time buy acer.... let see how it goes... tq for your help

hi fellas, some one selling refurbished dell vostro 3400 for RM700 and latitude e5410 for RM720.

I just missed out the vostro, so now left the latitude, is it worth the price?
or if you have budget of less than 1k, which used laptop would you choose from those selling here? https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showforu...ks%20%28Used%29

thanks
