it's one of the things i love most about the headset, that you can use your own headphones..in built/bundled would surely be crap to keep the cost down.

went to Sony at the Curve to try the headset, but sadly the games were way too limited.

Since I already have the Gear VR, figured I'd try GunJack....not impressed. It wasn't awful, but felt the same as the Gear VR. (Why didn't they use Valkyrie instead?? )

If anything, this particular game made me even more impressed with the Gear's performance, considering the stark differences in power between the S7Edge and the PS4, im not at all blown away by the graphics/VR perception.

Already pre-ordered the device though, so the testing wasn't going to sway my mind either way.

EDIT: was there with a friend and he was completely mindblown by the "kiddy" demo. He tried the Gear VR before and was impressed then, this impressed him even more. Maybe i tried the wrong demo

they're two different games

to be fair, gunjack does feel a lot smoother on psvr than it does on gear vr.
gear vr feels kind of robotic in comparison

very disappointed with Sony's preparation for PSVR..it's launching in 1 day yet the MY store is still lacking in content-absolutely nothing in store with regard to VR
(Okay, maybe there's 1(!!!) title available, but even that is not downloadable, only able to add to wishlist)

US PSN store is hardly any different, had to open it via a banner on the web store to find VR content; even then not all content is available for purchase

got a call from sony about an hour ago confirming that they will be giving out RM100 PSN cards as compensation for the wait.

Don't know if this gesture is the same for other gaming outlets though.

Grabbed my unit from Gamer's Hideout earlier today (slightly before 5pm).

disappointed that they initially told me that not all PSVR buyers will get the RM100 PSN card - expected they'd say this, but still disappointing that they did.

Good thing sony called me last week and confirmed that every buyer gets it, so told them this and they called someone to confirm that I do indeed get it.

on to the headset; found the setup to be an absolute breeze, no idea why people say it's complicated or takes a lot of time..maybe I'm used to playing with wires, so it doesn't feel all that complicated..

anyway, Driveclub VR demo was great, but i suspect part of the reason people feel nauseous is that they lean too far back.
I noticed that if I'm leaning forward (didn't realise i did this at first, only realised later on) i don't feel nauseous at all, but if i lean back, with the dashboard and some of the co-pilot seat in view, i experience a little nausea.

as comfortable as the headset is, I sweat like crazy

honestly speaking, after the first week i just dump it on some bags once im done with the headset for the day.

(opening week i used a dummy head to hold the headset, but once the hype wore off, I just ensure i dont start throwing the thing aside when im done for the day )

Eve Valkyrie, RIGS (though Sony just shut down the studio recently, so don't expect any new updates), Driveclub VR if you can stand the motion sickness - find it very immersive, but I can't play this game for long), Tomb Raider - explore Croft manor, Until Dawn Rush of Blood - if you have the move controllers, worth a look....and ofcourse, Batman VR! Short, but very immersive, absolutely a must play if you have a PSVR.

Your PSVR should have come with a demo disc. give all of the demos a try, see which you like or think you'll like and then ask the forummers here what they think of those games. - You can download the demo disc off of the store if your friend didn't give it to you.

just PS4pro or PS4pro with Boost mode?
If just PS4pro there's no issue...been using my Sony W800B since I got my Pro late last year..aside from the obvious graphical upgrades in certain Pro patched games, no difference in terms of user experience.
Like another forummer said, there's very little reason to get a "normal" PS4 now..
honestly i didn't see the point of a "normal" ps4 since sony announced the pro...it's obvious enough from the reveal that moving forward, most games will be best played on the Pro
