I actually had the VR at launch. Posted messages on Playstation Asia's FB page when it was delayed. Received my unit 10 days delayed. Sold my unit due to personal reasons but I would like to have one again but this time with the HDR support. The disconnecting-reconnecting is such an inconvenience to be honest but hey, my wife asked me if I wanted one and I said yes and it is now on sale so who knows, she might get me one for my bday haha!

Anyone can suggest on a workaround for HDR passthrough issue? It's quite a hassle to disconnect and reconnect from the VR processor.

Use AVR or HDMI switch but it going to cost you.

Saw an HDMI switch but not really sure if it supports HDR. It says 4k tho.

Depends on how frequent you will be playing HDR games. V1 and V2 no differences at all except for the processor unit can pass through HDR signal. The headset is still using the same display/resolution/quality.
Anyway, just finished 'The Last Guardian VR Demo'. And I gotta say, it's one of the most impressive and beautiful thing I've experienced in VR. SONY should make a full game! The graphics are also some of the best I've seen for VR (I'm on Pro). This is definitely demo material for VR first timers especially for those who are afraid of heights. Go download this guyz!
