For granite lettered set, any reason not to buy homing kit if you are using different layout?

Ergodox mustard race doesn't no lousy homing keys.

I already know my left from my right.

I understand your ergodox no need homing kit, mainly you only using qwerty layout not other layouts like norman, workman.
Homing kit only target users of other layouts like what I mentioned earlier except qwerty.

Edit: homing kit is only for minority, not for master race layout.

I think ergo don't need homing keys. homing keys usually to help you get a gauge of where your hands should be on a normal layout, so...

No news about it.
There is rumor about pricing around USD200 or maybe under it. smile.gif
*
Same price as Realforce? No thanks. I rather wait for the GH converters.

Seeing the pictures of the full handed ergodox make me regret a small bit not picking that option when I got mine...

Just a tiny bit though.

Just wanna know which is better cuz its the first time for me to get a mech, I was using an Microsoft membrane keyboard since many many years ago. So which I should choose? I type a lot and game now and then too. smile.gif Hope to hear from u guys.

QUOTE(gxthelord @ Apr 7 2014, 06:32 PM)
thanks for the reply. biggrin.gif I'm really new to these mech thingy. What I read from online and reviews is red is more noisier without tactile bump whereas the brown is more silent with the tactile bump is it? smile.gif
*
There's two types of heavy typing; frequent short burst or long burst. For short burst still can go for heavier switches, but for long burst then better to go for softer switches. I do frequent short burst but still prefer lighter switches. Topre, maybe should go for 55g, but I like typing on my 45 g too much to care.

Noise wise, Blues are noisiest (the clicky clack clack you hear from streams), red noisy only if you use cheap keycaps.

QUOTE(gxthelord @ Apr 7 2014, 06:33 PM)
Whoa didn't expect to see u here! Haha.
I think with so many of you recommending brown, I will go for the brown. smile.gif Will get it this Wednesday and see how it goes. smile.gif
Just wondering one more thing, is all mech keyboard can be modded to add backlit led in it? Or only certain ones?
*
Only certain ones, and only certain controllers will have the LED controls to do it.
