one lame question for all, did any of u ever sensed that using lower HTT will cause the system to be slower, regardless of the clockspeed?

i reached 2.69GHz lately, with 3X HTT, but then the PI32M still cant beat previous setting at 2.4GHz, with 5x HTT.

any sifus care to explain?

@PCcrazy
yeah, i agree.. being a noob in OC is hard biggrin.gif ..rite now i am focusing on DDR2.the need to study RAM speed, timing, and etc arise..wargh..perhaps after my exam..cos i certainly cant commit myself to OC rite now..

btw, what do u mean by downgrade/upgrade?

no price slash imo.maybe after the launching of 35nm proc, present X2 will be slashed. rclxms.gif but then, upgrading to dual core only if u feel the necessity..i want them too, but then now it is good for me to play few games, so i wont bother.

just wondering, how am i going to tighten the timing?

im refering to, which timing to tight first? or is there any rule of thumb for me to follow?

thanks again

hello guys. need opinion here. i have two stable configuration here.
one is 2.79G at 1.45vCore which is quite hot. idle 38 but 58degree max if i do folding.
the other one is 2.67G at 1.35vCore (STOCK).. idle 32-33-34..folding at 52degree max.. btw, i sense that it wasnt too much of different between the two.perhaps my RAM is limiting it.. rite now,to stay chill.. i am using the latter.but considering opinion from u guys.

DFi is the best IMO.. but if u just want to play play OC, Biostar is offering their
latest t570 in the market. slightly rm20 difference with the t550. maybe u can give it a try, and we would be delighted to guide u OC..

rclxms.gif
this is my max values obtained. it is stable..but, the temp range is 46-61 degree..
