*
Thats hard break in.. that is why immediate change of oil is needed after that.. to remove all the metal debris..

Oil filter, you can just walk in to any Proton SC and get the original filter. Would not have any prob and they wont know.

*
Just purchase the oil filter in proton SC, bring it to the normal shop, do regular servicing, (change engine oil and change oil filter)

You are another one with crazy low fuel consumption Preve. You have 6% better fuel consumption than mine.
Anyone with MAP/MAF controller in Preve? Is this the controller that is usually used on JDM cars? A simple knob to adjust lean/rich mix?

I can already hear very minor knocks, at certain RPM range. I think my ECU has already maximised the ignition timing to reap the best fuel economy.

I did not do german sausage yet. Inclined to do but haven't made the initiative.
*
It should be lower if not for my spirited drive up genting and top speed testing the other day.. biggrin.gif btw, i did german sausage to my car and mostly only outstation drive with it..

german sausage means? blink.gif
*
Practically, tying the turbo air inlet and outlet from intercooler for it to perform much efficiently (without expanding the rubber hose and boost comes much earlier). Cheap mod.. Expensive mod will be changing to aluminium hose.

Will try to take later when im in my house for the german sausage. Preve don't have the beep function when lock and unlock due to some noise regulation in Europe. That is why, BMW, Benz, and etc dont have the lock and unlock sound.

*
i dont think can do german sausage in shops.. Usually it will be DIY. the boost comes earlier, so yes improves pickup.

QUOTE(sp3d2 @ Jun 16 2014, 12:33 PM)
guys. is it recommended to alignment at sc? my steering now need to be abit senget to the right in order to stay straight. the car always try to move to the left.

if long distance driving, my arms  feels really lenguh as i need to keep on holding the steering to the right.

ive done alignment at 3 different shops around melaka but no improvement. the pomen keep on giving reasons why it cannot be rectified such as air pressure tak sama, mmg steering design senget kekiri, jalanraya tak samalah which are totally bullshit for me.

anyone manage to solve this? need helps. thanks. im at melaka.
*
Never done allignment before.. already 17k and its still straight.. U can try in SC but usually, they charge abit more than normal tire shop..

no idea wor..

as i know perodua got free 3 yrs parts (engine oil + filter) and labour thats why i was considering to go for perodua or preve
*
Perodua and Preve are totally in different segment. small and fuel saving, go for Perodua (or even a Saga SV which is much safer than the top spec MYVI), if you look for safety, space, practicality, go for Preve.. i believe even Preve comes with free service.

guys, on the first page of this thread, there is this item listed under common troubleshooting section:
4. ESC indicator failed. [Proceed to SC and replace the panel.]

Please may I know which post/thread was this discussed? I would like to read to understand this matter.
As my ESC indicator keep coming ON after few minutes of driving and then it wouldn't turn OFF until I killed the engine. Is that similar issue, or is mine unique?
*
No flat tire? or not using the spare tire?

nope. all stock and untouched.
and the ESC light comes on only after driving for, say 10 mins (rough guess)
*
Could be sensor or the button. easily can be solved in SC

Nappa wrap, will have problem with the side air bag or not?
*
If the shop know what they are dealing with, should not be a problem at all.. After all, there is a lot of car out there with nappa leather and have side airbag..

Anyone here done Nappa Wrap before? Any shop recommended? Will I've problem with Warranty?
*
warranty for airbag and also the existing seat will be void.. but, warranty for airbag, how would you know is it working or not unless u meet in an accident? There is alot of good shop that does wrapping, CarbiDeco for an instance.. and if im not mistaken, previous quote was somewhere around 3k plus..

Just came back from langkawi.. Yet my CFE returned excellent fuel efficiency in highway cruising.. registering lower than 7l/100km with 4 passengers and boot full with luggage, easily more than 400kg.. Loving it..
