i suggest you call to the cs and request for waiver. whether can be waived or not, it's up to hlb, but at least you tried.

seems like hlb purposely want to use their other cc profit to cover hlb wise loss. not sure they will still do promotion solely for hlb wise. rolleyes.gif

you can go for their gsc card or fortune card or the store card.

if none of these suit you, the last choice is to get hlb wise + its supplementary card.
this will also entitle you for the promotion gift. nod.gif

you should have printed out the form and filled in first so that you can just submit the form at any hlb branch.

yeah, hlb's procedures for sms alert is one of the most tedious. mbb is the best with just a phone call. uob and ocbc also need to fill in form (like hlb) but at least you can email/fax to them to complete it (unlike hlb must be passed to a branch).

you are absolutely right! i did have some bad experience with uob for the sms alert submission. at first, i faxed to them. when i called to follow up, they said that they did not receive it. they gave me another number to fax in. i tried for like 30 minutes but the line was still engaged and my fax cannot go through. i called again and scolded them and they said that they have thousands of fax coming in every day. shakehead.gif so in the end just email them.

Actually I can't see any down side for getting a combo. Just treat it as a 2-cards will do.  Since only 1 AF and 1 GSC charge for 2 cards. Thinking asking family member getting a 2nd WISE card. Must fully utilizes  ! smile.gif
