Anyone else in Tioman this weekend? I'll be there 26-29... driving on Friday. Traffic should be bad.
Will be at ABC - there's still rooms there i believe, so if anyone need, go inquire at the chalets there. We're doing Eco Divers

Hiii alll... returned from Tioman last night. six-hour drive back, jammed at Kluang and Seremban.
DC: Eco Divers, ABC beach
Diving: not-so-good. Some current, low viz 5-8m.
Managed to see one hawksbill turtle, some microscopic nudi, some fishies.. nothing to shout about cos of low viz. the others claim to have seen a reef shark or two. Night dive. got some baby squid, cuttlefish, blue-spotted stingray, looking very annoyed cos i shone my light at it!
so. it was very relaxing trip, made new friends, eat and drink.

QUOTE(Ji3MOON @ Jul 30 2014, 09:47 AM) I'm planning to go this dive centre this merdeka day..r their room still available? If you know la..hmm No idea. Give DC a call, they can help arrange. We stayed at SP Chalet (South Pacific). i think ABC should be ok, it's not the most popular beach, compared to Salang

yea. my fave is rashguard and board shorts. weights less. buoyancy better. i just got my wetsuit during last mIDe and used it only on one dive to test, then it's back to rashguard. nice and warm though.

QUOTE(munkeyflo @ Aug 26 2014, 10:41 PM) East Malaysia - Sabah, Sarawak. Indonesia - tons of places, some I can name are Pulau Weh, Bali, Komodo, Lombok, Manado, Lembeh, Raja Ampat, the list goes on. Philippines - no idea since I have not been there but was told it's quite cheap to dive in Philippines. Thailand - any islands you can think of. Andaman Sea, Similan islands, Surin islands. Koh Samui. Other local destinations include Lumut and Pulau Payar. 'exclude Lumut' u mean har har cant comment on Payar cos havent been there

Did one day of diving at Padang Bai, Bali... seems like a training dive area, with some coral reefs, small wrecks, and artificial reefs. Camera stayed on land, sadly. Saw some interesting stuff like ghost pipefish and juvenile angelfish, so pretty. It was cold too - 24 degrees, with 5mm wetsuit with hoodie. Shopping list must include gloves now! Overall, a good day trip, one hour drive from the dive centre at Sanur, plus another hour to get there from my hotel. Nice lunch, full service with water and towels provided.

buy from Aeon if u want cheap. i had one before and it lasted at least 5 years, when it literally melted away.
you're asking in the wrong forum, cos for diving it's all life and death. nobody does cheap here.
